I believe the solution to the A&N problem is the same as your solution to race relations in this country: separate but equal communities, with neutral areas where they can banter, and neutral areas where they can share united outrage as Kiwi Farmers. All the correct framework already exists, all that's required is a deft touch to help direct user discussion to the appropriate areas.
Team Red and Team Blue both have things that make them genuinely angry, so they should both be given threads where they can vent without the other side shitting it up (e.g. the Biden and Trump derangement syndrome threads). (Note: We already have this)
Then, we should have a set of Jerry Springer trashfire threads where both teams can come and go as they please and playfully banter. If the banter becomes too much, a user can retreat into one of their "safe" containment threads. Examples of these are the vaccine, Ukraine, and abortion containment threads. (Note: We also already have this)
Finally, we have a set of feature worthy articles that are newsworthy to the entire community. The way I see it, every user that genuinely cares about the farms are united by three things:
1) Censorship is cringe
2) Confirmed pedophiles should be lined up against a wall (QAnon schizo theories don't count)
3) Sex pest Troons are a blight on natal women (even if the users are otherwise pro-LGBT+)
The way I see it, if any member of Team Red and Team Blue don't agree on these three points, they don't belong in the KF community and should be encouraged to find a more suitable community elsewhere. I think HHH understands this, which is why I volunteered him.
BTW, I'm not volunteering myself. I'd make a terrible mod because I have a life and job outside this site. I'd only put in the bare minimum effort to remove/contain pedophilia and fedposting (e.g. anything that's a direct threat to the site at large.)
