I use the term 'combative' to distinguish Internet Famous from Metokur threads. This is why I hate that thread and its users. Everywhere else on the site, there is a team. People generally understand and appreciate that this site and our community is balanced on a fucking thread. Metokur users do not get that. They are mostly users who joined after all of our largest problems were taken care of and don't care about the rest of the site. I feel these users are exploitative and see the forum as a means to an end rather than something to contribute to.

this is a massive general issue on the internet, and it's why I brought up FDS and Rexit - moderation work tends to be invisible. there's a huge disparity in how easy it is to use forums and social media, and how hard it is to keep them up. it's not like going to a cafe or a club; people are giant freeloading faggots irl too but it's much more obvious when they are asking people to do a lot of work for them to have a nice place to hang out for cheap or free.

I'm a hypocrite because I haven't paid Null, because I can't figure out how, but at least I don't make trouble.

I have a few ideas, whether or not they're good is debateable.

First off, like you said we've got a problem with combativeness. There's way too many people in here whose only goal is to start shit and piss people off. Sure, we like a little trolling, but we don't need 20 people @ing HHH everytime someone says or does dumb shit. For that I propose the following: Make @ing people to start shit a bannable (or otherwise punishable) offense. If you've got shit to talk, take it to dms you fucking spergs.

To add to that point, we dont need 5 million derangement/enslavement threads where people can shit around screaming at eachother about how stupid the other side is. Remove all those threads, disallow further ones, and instead have a megathread for making fun of all political spergs who tard out online. If they tard hard enough just make a fucking thread. We need to stop taking this shit so seriously and start laughing at retards who do. The Biden megathread can stay because it's for posting news regarding Joe Biden, our sitting president.

If people want to start shit and/or glow post, they don't belong here. Same for doom posting. Articles and News needs someone to make sure that what's getting posted is actually articles and news. I'm not saying catparty and their weird threads have to go, just that we clean up satirical or outright inflammatory articles (which I almost never see but some tards will find any excuse to fling shit). They're rare but a funny haha article kind of takes away from the intended experience. Maybe just a megathread for satirical news. Keep politisperging to a minimum unless it actually contributes somewhat to understanding or discussing the posted article.

Deep thoughts is more chill. It should probably be kept as is but with a mod in there making sure there's actual discussion going on, not rampant opinion-flinging, screeching monkey orgies.

Happenings needs a TON of cleaning up. It's where we discuss ongoing major events and its 90% just noise. Reading through the highlights of any given thread doesn't help either because every other post is people complaining about all the niggercattle pissing 10 feet straight up into the goddamn air like autistic rainmakers. We would need multiple mods for this board, especially when happenings get featured because when that happens we combine the normal userbase with a ravenous sea of autistic sharks with no teeth. It's a fucking mess. We want happenings to be readable? We gotta clean out all the fucking white noise. Will people complain? Yeah. But who fucking cares? If you're mad you can't write scat fanfic about how the people with different opinions have messy forceful sex with their geriatric man of choice then go cry about it on fucking onionfarms or whatever.

Finally, and I doubt you could do this, but we should have a fourth autistic thunderdome board, also named the Autistic Thunderdome. There are no mods. No rules. Only negrates, no positive rates. Clicking the report button is an automatic ban for the clicker. Posting in the board gives an automatic badge of the star of david to signify them as posters in the board.
Again, unfeasible, but it would be funny.

The Despot is the solution.

The fear of God only works if God's power is displayed. The threat of nuking the Thunderdome has been present for a year or so now, and it seemingly has done nothing.

Null doesn't want to deal with it, so a Despot is the solution. Someone who enforces with extreme prejudice.

Edit: People will cry there is favoritism, and there certainly is, but not in a way that Null hasn't outlined before. People will say old timers/True and Honest get preferential treatment. Well no shit, they're old timers, they have history, they support the site directly and they probably post more on actual topical threads than just off topic and the Thunderdome.

And this is coming from a fag that these days mostly posts in Thunderdome and Off Topic and mostly lurks everywhere else or just posts in a select few cow threads once in a while. What @It's HK-47 started with was working. Any slap fights or other distractions from the thread topic that went on long enough to become annoying went to the pastadome. If there is still a problem, start handing out thread bans and move more garbage to the pastadome.
