That said, the reason I hang out almost exclusively on A&N these days despite rarely posting there prior to this incarnation is because the rest of the forum isn't as fun any more. Even the darker corners of the on-topic boards like Tard Baby General and its predecessors used to be more gallows humor than genuine anger. But now it's all just so angry. As if these people actually matter. As if a disgusting person killing themselves with mukbangs or a microtransaction-addicted retard are something to be actually, for-real upset about. People trooning out their kids, sure, hate them as much as they deserve. But the correct response to a terminally online social media drone is to ignore them, not to talk every day about how angry they make you.
It used to be that if people got mad at the continued existence of Chris or Wings or whoever they'd be told to lol calm down, but now that behavior is the rule rather than the exception. And I'd rather hear some politisperg call Biden "Brandon" a thousand times than listen to someone write a screed about how they fantasize about torturing the Wogglebug to death, because at least the politisperg is trying (and failing) to be funny. It's also understandable to be furiously upset about a news article about a pedophile. It is not understandable to be furiously upset about someone's cockroach fan fiction.
