As of late I have been growing paranoid due to some bad shit that happened at school over a decade ago (as silly as this sounds it left a terrible effect on me). I am concerned about a possible assault if someone recognizes me on the street. I asked some other people about this but they basically said I was paranoid and needed help.

If I was in a situation in which I needed to defend myself, does anyone familiar with UK law know what the limits are of self defense? As in how far you have to go before it's considered a crime and not reasonable retaliation against assault? And what are the laws on recording a person committing the act towards you (for evidence, even if it's just verbal abuse or minor assault that could be a precursor to more severe assault)?

I don't think this person got in trouble for recording this person's license plate, and this is obviously in England.

Again. I know I am paranoid this is just so I know what my options are if I am put in a bad situation.

Chokeslam them until they stop moving and then rape the corpse. As soon as the bobbies show up, scream Allahu Akbar, and prepare to receive your Upstanding Community Member award and key to the city.

As a british citizen I am telling you that uk has very cucked self-defence laws that favour assaulters over defenders. Best thing I can tell you is to use every day carry items that can be used in self-defence. For example lynx spray will blind an opponent, or a cane from cold steel will crack open a skull if hit hard enough.

My favourite and preferred improvised weapon would be a shovel with a strong handle. When used in self-defence it is in practicality a medieval weapon.

Though won't that result in me getting arrested?

Well actually, I think I can help you. My maternal grandfather developed a secret technique that will prevent you from getting murdered by Anglo/Pakistani thugs. Since then it's been passed down from generation to generation. My grandfather then taught it to my mother and she taught it to me. My mother and I have built upon the technique over time, but it has mostly stayed the same. I will attempt to teach it to you, but keep in mind that it is very hard and may take years of effort to become as versed in my secret technique as I am.

Step One: Inhale. Hold your breath and close your eyes. Envision an eagle soaring through the clean air of a pine forest. Meditate on this scene for a few minutes. Allow it to fill your body and soul with power.

Step Two: Follow the directions on this website:

These guys were actually white British, though I knew a few messed up pakistani/muslim types, but they weren't as bad as this one fucker who I think has Borderline Personality Disorder mixed with Bipolar disorder.

At least that's according to those I have describe this person to in the past.

You can record in public as there's no expectation of privacy.

Why are you replying to a schizophrenic

Why does having a concern that someone who has a history of serious aggression and mental problems may recognize you and try to hurt you make you a Schizophrenic?
And it's not like there is any harm asking about this because the UK has fucked up self defense laws. I will say so far that most of the responses are helpful save for the "America is the best faggot" crap and being accused of being a nutcase.

When is the last time you've seen or talked to this person?

The internet is generally a terrible place to ask for self defense advice. Nearly all of it is wrong. It is an industry full of charlatans and misinformation even from so called experts. Your best bet is talking to a lawyer, or former police officer who knows his shit and won't bs you, about weapons laws. Read up on them yourself. Understand that especially in your country, you will more likely than not be arrested even if you are completely in the right.

Your best path forward imo is to learn boxing for striking and traditional wrestling or jui jitsu for when you go to the ground. Fights end up on the ground unless someone gets cleanly KOed in a hit or two and they don't have friends. Count on them having friends. Not only will this get you in shape and teach you how to handle yourself in a fight, but it will get you in a fighting mentality. It it not something that comes naturally to many people and it can be honed. The number one thing you can do outside of this is to practice situational awareness and avoid getting into situations that can result in violence to you. Defending yourself if the police and government, ie prosecutors, do not recognize a right to self defense is an expensive proposition and best avoided at all costs for your own physical, mental, and fiscal well-being. I am a combat veteran and gunfag from Burgerland. Take my advice as you will.

I happen to know a police officer (former but won't say any more details) so...yeah I should ask him one of these days.

Weapons laws are often retarded as shit and don't make a lot of sense. You need clear information. For instance in the US tons of retards will tell you to carry bear spray because it is stronger than mace/OC spray. Bear spray is classified as a pesticide and it is illegal to use on people in the states I have looked into when friends have told me they get this stupid advice. I have gotten into this argument on this very forum.

The knife laws in my own state list a number of types of knives and other regulations pertaining to what can and cannot be carried, but then ends with this open ended definition:
deadly weapon usually employed in the attack on or defense of a person.
Does that mean my simple 3" folder is illegal to carry because it was marketed as a "tactical" folder? That implies some kind of military purpose. It's just a fucking Kershaw. Likely not, but if the local DA's office wants to make you prove it in court it's going to cost you at least $25k to find out.

I agree, but what I would do is use deodorant. If someone gets that sprayed in their eyes, they won't be using them again.

I used to work with an ex police woman, she told me that of you are going anywhere on your own, they taught young women to carry their keys in their fingers as a make shift knuckle duster.

This in the USA or England? Just making sure.
