Severe Weather outbreaks

Why though? There's no excitement like a supercell or a hurricane and I don't think there's much lacking in scientific understanding. Yeah, yeah attention and monetization I'm sure
I'm enjoying this guy though. He is a true mega autistic. Sperging about prepay only pumps and music.

This guy is heading for Kansas too. Hopefully one of these retards will spin out on the icy roads and give us a NASCAR moment.

This is the biggest reason why remote work should still be allowed.

Last time I commuted in a snowstorm, I slid several times, of which two almost got me into car collisions. Merging lanes is even more dangerous because snow and ice now gather on the lane lines since it is part of the highway that is less driven. Then I saw a car facing the wrong direction with his emergency lights on in the middle of the highway. I saw inside the window that his airbags were on and then I saw half of the car's rear being taken out. Like no way am I driving in a snowstorm.

I really don't want to take away my PTO hours for this crap.

Like what the fuck is this shit.

A Blizzard. Even the snow plow won't operate due to low visibility. KC Police are probably preemptively closing the Interstates just so come morning the plows can actually work without removing the flipped over wrecks of retards who decided driving their car in a white out at night was a good idea.

kansas isnt doing well

""The load of calls that are coming in is significant," he said. "There's a lot of jackknifed semis, road blockages and challenges.""

It's the same story over and over again. Despite receiving days of advance warning people still decide to challenge mother nature anyways.

With that said, this is definitely going to be a big one. Stay warm kiwi frens. Its still not too late to prepare, even if preparing means a quick dash to the convenience store for beef jerkey and bottled water.

As for me, I have a 5 gallon Jerry can of Kerosene, a case of water and several pounds of pre cooked deliciousness that may or may not be Costco shrimp, Cheese and a tasty lamb stew i can reheat on the Kerosene heater if needed.

NWS Blacksburg has issued a grim report, and this on the east side of Appalachia. Up until today they were saying the coastal states would be lucky to get wintery mix.

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON SUNDAY TO 7 PM EST
MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations between 1 and 5 inches and ice accumulations up to
four tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina, central, south
central, southwest, and west central Virginia, and southeast West
Virginia.

* WHEN...From noon Sunday to 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree
limbs may cause scattered and long-lasting power outages. Power
outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be
nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the
Monday morning and evening commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Do not touch downed lines and report any power outages to your
electric company. Travel is highly discouraged due to slick roadways
and the possibility of downed trees and power lines.

I’m in the band that’s currently expecting an ice storm to hit in the next twenty-four hours. Supposed to dump snow and then turn to freezing rain; possibly up to an inch of ice for our location.

It took about a week for us to get power during the 2009 ice storm, but very unlikely that’s going to happen again. I’m expecting our power to go out sometime tomorrow and stay out until maybe late Monday or early Tuesday.

I’m personally excited to grill New York strips out in the snow tomorrow.

Living in the rockies I always wonder how some places that never get snow even deal with it. People here where I live poke fun at the states that can't deal with an inch of snow when that's nothing for us, but our towns are built around it (sometimes). Good luck, kiwis.
