I've been thinking of things recently. I'm older now. Both of my parents are gone.
Cherish the time you have with your parents.

All the relatives I interacted with throughout my childhood are dying one by one and it accelerates every year.
I recently learned that one particular relative that I hadn't spoken to in years had died, and their spouse was brain rotting in a nursing home. I was disappointed because relative had had a swift death through a sudden stop; I'd always fantasised about them dying the slow and painful death that they'd thoroughly earned. The older you get the more you lose. It sucks.

Some people don't deserve to die. They deserve to hang on and on in misery.
My dad died when i was 16 from aggressive brain cancer. I'm kinda glad he was a horrible abusive arsehole, but it always made me appreciate the time i had with the people i care for.Yeah, that happened with my dad. He said some horrible things, I stopped talking to him for the rest of his life and found out he died through my brother.
Why not both?I sort of feel like all the light and joy has gone out of the world, and I don’t know if that’s me feeling old or just that all the light and joy has gone out of the world.
At least the '80s and '90s had something in common with the '50s and '60s: there was no "social media", no "smartphone zombies", nor "social justice" unique to Current Year. It’s like the Jurassic to them, it’s not real. It’s a meme. I must have done this to my parents about the fifties and sixties.
The parents of my then-boyfriend were on vacation in the Australian Outback, and they told us they couldn't believe the number of Aboriginal folks who wanted to know more about the case. That was my reaction when someone replied to me on here that they didn't know who OJ was.

People that didn't have phones and TV were wanting to know everything.
There are some bands and musicians who release their music on tapes, but it's largely very genre specific, and the more normie friendly genre bands only release tapes because some younger fans consider them collectibles of sorts. Some people miss owning physical copies of albums, and tapes are much cheaper to get done than vinyl. Personally I think going with tapes over CDs is goofy.Aren't tapes getting popular again with hipster faggot children? Speaking of walkman Sony released a DAP player in the shape of a walkman. My autistic arse wanted it so bad.

Maybe that means getting a working tape player can be easier now?tapes getting popular again
There's new cassette players being made but they all use the same absolute dogshit guts and don't have Dolby noise reduction or anything like itMaybe that means getting a working tape player can be easier now?
(I got a collection of tapes of mostly stuff I taped in the 90s.)
