I searched for threads created in 2024 and the closest thing I found was this thread about trans-inclusive magical girls. Maybe it was deleted? One of the posters in that thread says current politics ASB isn't allowed.

AH.com seems a lot worse than SB. With SB at least you seem to be told what rule exactly you are breaking so you can somewhat understand even if you find it retarded. AH.com just blanked kicks you and good luck figuring out how or why. or even if it is a kick or a ban.

You just reminded me of a comic I once read, can't remember if it was Marvel or DC, where some villain sold a serum or whatever that gave people whatever superpower they wanted. Then one day he remotely turned it all off at once, so everyone who was flying, running at supersonic speed, breathing underwater, etc at that moment just fucking died. Hilarious.

DC's "52" maxi-series featured Lex Luthor giving out nanomachine activated powers and then he shut them off on New Years Eve or some shit.

I know this is a joke, but if the Emperor ever came out and admitted to Japanese atrocities during WW2, it'd have probably forced them to come to terms with their retarded past rather than the denialism you get from Japan today.

So there is this popular Fire in the Mountain AH where John Brown got his wish and the world becomes black luxury gay communism utopia. So I was wondering

Is there any serious work on what would happen had Lincoln indeed deported most of the ex slaves? Not even on a "its paradise because we done TND", but on a serious "how this changes the politics and economy, do the US mass import europeans and east asians to work?" (like how Brazil tried)

None that aware of off the top of my head. However, one thing that I suspect would be dramatically different would be the power of the old Southern planter class. The massive labor shortage that would sweep most of the South couldn't easily be overcome by immigration — even if immigration were able to fill the gaps. European migrants would be far more likely to go to the north where factory jobs or homesteads were available. Asian migrants would almost certainly be constrained thanks to racial fears, and the anxiety of the Western states. IOTL, the West got the Chinese Exclusion Act passed when America had about 100-150K East Asian migrants. Even if the goal was to only replace the 5 million blacks from the South with Asians, the West almost certainly would still be apoplectic at such numbers.

This labor shortage would empower the poor white farmer. No longer forced to compete with slavery, and not being forced to compete with disenfranchised blacks, they would be able to prosper a lot better ITTL. Plus, the labor shortage forces higher wages for farm hands and agricultural products, allowing independant white farmers more success. If things otherwise roughly follow OTL, the 1890s and the rise of Populism would probably see the Southern order be upended. More prosperous than in OTL, and thus less afraid of throwing their weight around, when the white farmers rally behind the Populists, they might well succeed.

Speaking of AH.com I got banned a while back for daring to call out the usual idiocy more, forgot to mention it. Haven't bothered to re-register a new account to see how they were taking Trump since the start of inauguration.

Good to see that what AmbassadorAutismo posted means they've been coping and seething exactly as they deserve to. I'm curious if they're even forced to confront the fact that the deportations are popular or stuff like waving the Mexican flag around, or Mexico's insistence on mobilizing over remittances, were really bad optics.

....oh lawdy, at least someone please tell me how they're all breaking down over troonery's acceptance collapsing real time since the start of the year!
