The only good that can come of donations, I think, is that the charity of the 'trolls' will reinforce his unwarranted sense of self-importance and entitlement issues. He won't have to face the consequences of his own actions, so he can continue being Chris and post ridiculous complaints and death threats on facebook for us to enjoy instead of realizing, "Oh, shit, I really fucked up this time. Something I'm doing isn't working". Insurance to guarantee future drama and content, if you will.

Not good for him, but good for certain people.

Some of what I wrote was almost word for word things Dusty has said. I am so sorry you unfamiliar with him beyond a superficial level. It was never my intent to be in character all the time. That should have been glaringly obvious as much of what I write bares little resemblance to how he speaks.

I am not sure why you get so easily disturbed. I will stop and return to mostly lurking. Many of my posts have been substantive, though not all. Additionally, I realize that reading more than a paragraph is a bit much for some, but I am not here to drop one liners for your entertainment, but to argue my views or in many cases to simply provide information. Discussion is evidently not what many people here are about, as they prefer to resort attacking others when they fail to respond adequately to the viewpoints they disagree with.

Thanks for your hard work in keeping this forum safe!

Start a new account, lurk a few more months, then swing back by and exercise a little more brevity. It'll all be good

Probably because you're gimmick shitposting about doing stuff to Chris' manboobs.

Speaking of -
Limit discussion of body parts and functions. Chris is gross. Discussing his incontinence in detail is unnecessary and disturbing.

Okay, shitposting aside, Chris has a problem with his tits and if I were a parent or a family member I would be concerned enough to seriously inquire about medical treatment. Gynecomastia is pretty unattractive and in rare instances can be indicative of deeper health problems.

I understand its disgusting and we're not going to do anything about it, so there's no point in discussing it any further. Just saying, Chris needs help with his manboobs more than he needs us to send him food and money so he can more easily collect all the pokemans.

Nah, they just haven't been tamed by our forums yet. They really need to lurk more.

I think you have to take into account the reason for the influx of the users. The fire has spurred a lot of lurkers to create accounts specifically so they could revel in Chris's misfortune. I'm going to bet that a large number of the post-fire users aren't too keen on helping Chris whatsoever.

Yeah, a bunch of people registered on january 10th-12th, and a lot of them don't really care about behaving on the forums...

I can't believe we have 9 pages discussing this.
Every time I visit a small business I see a coffee can asking for money for kids in Limos or a local family that suffered fire or an illness. I ususally try to drop some money in but sometimes I can't.
Giving money to Chris is a charity. That means you will be getting nothing in return, if you're donating to try to get a shout out or get him to thank you, he won't. However, the man just lost his entire life as he battling minor depression, people will want to help him.
If you want to give to Chris, do it. If you don't, dont. If someone is set in their way you will not change them.

"He just lost his house in a fire"
"He's ungrateful, and will piss any money on unnecessary shit, will he even see the care package?"

As a new user, let me be brutally honest about my impressions.

This forum is heavily sanitized compared to what often goes on and is said on the Internet, especially in regard to people like Chris. There's a pretty heavy degree of self-censorship and a community willingness to label people A-Logs or Weens, both of which seemed to me at first almost reminescent of Chris's own behavior. It comes off as catty elitism on the part of the moderators and established users (although moderators seeming catty is part and parcel of being on an internet forum; probably a large part of that is them leaving brusque answers in an attempt to stay neutral-ish).

Many other Internet forums, and the venues from which most people first learn about Chris - ED, 4-Chan, websites that make fun of idiots and the like, are significantly less likely to enforce "playing nice" than the people here. Though A-Log was a self-hating sperg trying too hard to be cool, the first reaction of people who come across Chris - ween or otherwise - is contempt rather than pity. So when some people first see the "Forum Rules" in red, they might as well be seeing "Don't be a big meanie!"

This isn't a condemnation of the way this board is run. It makes sense and has probably developed along necessary lines as a precaution against incidents that plagued this place. Discussions about Chris are inevitably besieged by the stupid, the immature, and 'trolls' pretending to be more stupid and immature than they are to get a reaction from others (successfully or otherwise). For long time users and moderators, both of whom have some degree of emotional investment in the CWCki forums, nuisances need to be rid of, and it becomes practical to treat anyone with a dumb remark or two as a ween until proven innocent. It could be annoying to see people insult/berate Chris without having anything new to add, reinventing the wheel with ill-advised trolling plans which have long been rejected, etc., etc.

The thing is that this attempt to not be negative - discussing Chris in neutral and almost hypothetical terms - isn't natural. It's not the natural state of the internet and it's certainly not the natural state of the places from which people interested in Chris are drawn. People will say some dumb shit like "Chris is the dumbest, fattest fuck ever" or "This lazy guy needs to stop leeching off society and die". People with this particular forum's philosophy ingrained in them react negatively because they've tread this road many times, seen "weens" with nothing to contribute spout the same lines before, and more importantly have seen these situations degenerate into undesirable clusterfucks. But people say things like that all the time in other places without really meaning it; the automatic response to seeing a phenomenon like Chris is to point out how stupid and lazy he is. It's part of our psychology as social animals. And the automatic response to learning about his inability to empathize with people while doing whatever the fuck he wants with welfare he doesn't need is anger, possibly even a desire to see him punished or at least face some consequences for once.

When I tell people about Chris, a lot of them react by saying something like "Wow, this idiot is a waste of space" or coming up with "new" plans to troll him that have already failed or rejected as too likely to fail. They are well-adjusted and fairly intelligent people who are reacting in the same way I'm sure many of the older users did when they first saw this guy drinking his  or heard him talking about :briefs: It's good that this board is policed the way it is. At the same time, this policing is quite contrary to what many people, ween or otherwise, expect and desire when they enter into a discussion about Chris. You can't legitimately expect newcomers to not seem vicious to Chris when, from their point of view, the standards of this board seem second only to asspatters and white knights in terms of sensitivity to Chris. Yeah, idiots will need to be rooted out. Not everyone who's just heard about Chris and says "Wow this fat fuck is a leech" is an idiot, though.

The TLDR version: Newcomers to the CWCki forum aren't more vicious than the average Chris-follower. The long term users on this board are more gentle, possibly for good reasons.

I thought we were now discussing those ungrateful new kids and them being on our lawn.

... regarding the original topic of this thread.
I don't care if Chris gets donations or not, Do I think he deserves them? no, but whatever.
One thing is for sure, he's not getting any money from me :asperchu:

To paraphrase Chris , That Goddam Bastard SNYDER CHANDLER Doesn't Deserve ONE RED CENT!!!

Not that it matters since he already gets charity every month from every tax-payer in the United States *yawn*

No but nobody should ever go without the basics. I probably won't donate because my meager donation would not be appreciated and I would likely be called a troll. But it other people on the forums want to do it they should be respected for that. And I think it's great Chrissy will be receiving a care package. It shows me that not everyone in the world is a heartless douchebag. Whenever a hopeless manchild is in peril people WILL step up to the plate regardless of whether I or other users donate or not.
