Surprised even you, didn't he?

MrTroll said:I doubt Chris independently came to the conclusion that the firefighters stole a charred Dali print from the burning pile of rubble formerly known as 14 Branchland Court. In fact, I'd wager that the idea is entirely Barb's, and Chris, being a retarded child, lacks the intelligence or critical thinking abilities to question mommy's judgment.
Yeah, but it's exactly the type of idea that Chris could just come up with on his own anyway. Chris embracing shitty foreign ideas or making them up himself, the distinction doesn't really mean much to me.MrTroll said:I doubt Chris independently came to the conclusion that the firefighters stole a charred Dali print from the burning pile of rubble formerly known as 14 Branchland Court. DustyR said:Barb is no doubt in quite a state due to her house being BURNED down. I can understand being flustered and thinking someone stole it. Notice he did not say that Barb accused the firefighters of stealing. He said she theorized "someone" stole it, not that a fireman stole it. That could have been Chris' own conclusion that it was a fireman. I am sure she would have been more precise if she had thought it was a fireman, and his message would surely have reflected that. As he explained, the house was not boarded for a while, so others had the chance. Old women get very protective and fierce about their purses, so since that is one of the items she believes may have been stolen, then she may have thought the Dali replica could have been another. It is pretty natural for old women to lash out when purses are missing.
In addition, neither one of them said any of these things publicly...certainly not Barb. It was a private email posted without consent, not a facebook proclamation. I would be hesitant to rush to conclusions based on what is likely Chris' own inflammatory extrapolation.
Of course the idea is rubbish and offensive, but it is important to consider the circumstances and that Barb likely did not accuse the firemen. Nor did they publicly accuse the firemen.

Is it really? The language is colorful but Chris' sense of self-importance and entitlement are enormous, and he's never done anything with his life. His head is definitely way up his own ass.

New update ^
Does this make a difference to anyone? Somewhat of a dick move on their part, thinking like that. Ignoring the fact they have people who live near them.
Well put. Yes, I agree Barb may be in some shock over losing her precious hoard. However, people are mad that Chris and she hasn't shown any sign of gratitude for the men and women who put out their heap. THIS was the first thing they said about the firefighters, and that's gonna steam some beans.BALLZ-BROKEN said:I'm gonna play Devil's advocate here, and try to justify Barb.
Barb is a hoarder, and she just had her comfortable nest razed and shuffled through. She's hurting, and like any old, sick, and wounded animal, she's just biting and snarling at anyone that comes close to her.
So you're saying that Chris should have her put down Old Yeller style?BALLZ-BROKEN said:I'm gonna play Devil's advocate here, and try to justify Barb.

Oh pfft. It's not like we're dealing with some sad old lady who once in a million demonstrates a depressed expression of rage. She does this all the time, even in minor situations. That's why no one gives a shit about Barb here.BALLZ-BROKEN said:I'm gonna play Devil's advocate here, and try to justify Barb.
