I'm not sure. It depends on exactly what subparagraph Nick is actually convicted on, and whether there are two or three counts of the lesser offense. There were three on the docket, but @Marvin only said he heard convictions on two of them.

The max on the biggie could be 20, 40, or life. The lesser counts, 7 apiece.

I think he's facing 40 years max on the big one, with 7 years for each of the others, to be served concurrently, which would make the max 40 years. But if they're served consecutively, it could be 61 years.

And if he's actually facing life on the big one, in theory he could face some ridiculous thing like life plus 21 years.

I think the max is 61 years. I think the likely max is 40 years.

And I think he'll come in on the high end of that. Because of the nature of betting, I'll bet 40 years, but I think it will come out 30 or so, with the wide range being 20-40.

Canada (Unfortunately) has looser laws when it comes to this kind of thing. Seeing how the other sentences on people with this type of offense are prosecuted, and depending on how good of a lawyer he gets... Also factoring the fact that he is male and a minority.... It seems like he will get roughly 2-2.5 years for the intercourse charge and another 2-2.5 years for the three accounts of indecent assault on a person under 13. Lets see!

I don't think he'll get the max sentence since the judge probably saw he's a little...disturbed.
 
Maximum sentence possible minus a year.

Parole for 5 years.
