Silent Hill

Yeah but that's why they should add to Mega Man's abilities. Just giving him a dash and wall jump made MMX play like a dream and the level design is pretty different as a result. If they change what he can do then they'll naturally have more room to experiment with the stages too.

I'd say dashing and wall jumping are off limits, just to keep it from stepping on X's toes. These big companies gotta have some idea guys, right? I mean I can't think of anything but they should be able to. Or maybe not based on how long it took to hit MM11 and that's years old now too lol.

Idk about Team Silent really. I think it was mostly consistent but I'm just guessing. SH4 is wildly different so maybe by that point it was already a pretty different team from SH1.
To change a quote Mike used in the Return of the Jedi commentary and apply it to Silent Hill, SH4 was the black sheep of the family until the western Silent Hills came out and then it became a very light grey sheep.

It's like how In Search of Spock has been, for the longest time, the black sheep of the original six Star Trek movies in comparison to II, IV and VI, but I liked it. Silent Hill 4 is pretty much the Star Trek III of the Silent Hill series for the longest time.

Why do so many trannies/left wing nuts (redundant I know) gravitate towards Silent Hill as a whole? You could throw a rock in the LPs that came from Something Awful thread and hit like 12 trannies/commies who devote their lives entirely to Silent Hill to the point of being complete autists that debate how hard the rabbi sucked on the penis of a main character when he was circumcised as a toddler.

One of my main hobbies these past two years is searching for Silent Hill streamers that derail their entire stream to yell at their audience for being HECKIN TRANSPHOBIC and start banning like 50% of their chat. I'm just wondering if its always been like that or if its something new?
Didn't the SH wiki get turned into incoherent shit briefly because one of the admins who had tons of previous edits had a genuine schizophrenic meltdown? Maybe it's something to with SH's themes of mental illness. The games definitely never seemed woke to me. Then again, Resident Evil doesn't seem totally woke, maybe a little bit, and it's also got hordes of SJW fans.

Yup. It was a dude who was obsessed with the idea that Walter is circumcised, despite the fact that Walter was left with his umbilical cord intact.

It's not in your face but it's the little things. Ugly up the women, censor it to appease feminists, etc. RE5 and CV remakes will be very interesting because they are the most "problematic" ones.
RE3 remake was in your face woke. The other games have some minor woke stuff, but nothing too noticeable. RE5 is gonna be a shitshow though.

I would actually like to see a remastered version of the first four Silent Hill games...particularly the first one as I would like to see what it looks like on a modern console with 4K graphics or to have a non-shit PC remaster for the PC master race.

Still, that is as about likely to happen with current-day Konami as David Duke becoming an honorary member of the Harlem Globetrotters.

“Next time, take the fucking hint!”
Cringiest line in the game.
And forcibly shits out "You want Stars? I'll give you stars" a half hour into the game. Not during the climax. When you've barely interacted with the fucking thing.

It's almost as if Capcom HQ instructed the outsourced group to make it as bad and removed from the original as possible.

It's easy to pick up on the "female characters are always smart and tough, male characters are always bumbling and dumb and/or naive" theme. Not just having strong female characters be on par and do cool shit in their own right, but female characters who always have to one-up or rescue the guys, who in turn are most often shown in a negative or at least comparatively worse or less competent light. Every single time.

I'm not sure how much of that's wokeness though or just the anime influences creeping in. It only really started with CV, coincidentally the first RE game to lean hard into the anime-action style and wackier elements, and got worse from there.

People are right. Anime was a mistake and two nukes weren't enough.

What about CV do you think is woke or anime influenced?
It's what turned Claire and Chris into gun-fu John Woo (IIRC he was specifically namedropped as an influence) superheroes and Wesker into a backflipping, bullet-timing Matrix villain.

Other than the opening cutscene with Claire doing the gun drop and then catching it in midair. I fail to see what you mean.

They eventually did turn Leon and Chris into John Wick clones in Vendetta, but prior to that I don't really see the comparison. Leon's stupid Steven Seagal slap fight with Krauser in 4make was cringe.

Having Wesker bullet dodge I don't have a problem with since they buffed his abilities that he's already shown to have in CV. And RE5 is a decade later in the series and he wasn't really shown at all in between other than some cutscenes in RE4. While his portrayal in that is very hammy, I do like how over the top it and his abilities since it fits with what his motivations were in that game being a god and all.

I admit it, I thought this was the RE thread for a minute.

The problem here is that RE is an action game. I question when you are going to be able to have moments of feminine weakness that are not going to be fatal.

We don't need to hear about someone's fetish for women who are in some kind of trouble, sir.
