So I guess they fucked the endings up. I was watching that faggot Punchy try to get the In Water ending and after like 10 hours of playing and did everything that would constitute that ending and got Leave lol

with sh 2 remake the way I look at it is that it might get people more involved with the originals and I think they will have a better understanding because of this and I'm happy to talk to them about it, a lot of nuance and craft was lost in the remake in favour of the alan wake-ite movement... but the people I'm speaking to are all people who just watched the sh films first and then played the dead by daylight characters, these people exist....

That's largely the question.

I was never a SH2 fan (I prefered SH1) but it's one of those games where every frame is considered a masterpiece. My go to example is how there was a lengthy section in one essay about Mary's clothes suggesting innocence and purity, only for it to later be revealed to be a Con Air reference. The point of that is, for a game who's fanbase that says sound, graphic, asset, and item was deliberately and perfectly placed, that baka gaijin is too stupid to understand it, seeing them cheer when baka gaigin takes a sledge hammer to their most sacred game is baffling.

A friend of mine keep wanting Capcom to remake Dino Crisis. I keep telling him it would turn out bad in current year, but he still wants it.

I touched on that in the last few pages, basically the nigger cattle need the game "updated" since everything old is yucky and probably racist. This is why they cheer for the demakes, not because they're superior but because their favorite piece of media finally "got an update". They aren't fans of the original material, they are part of the modern bug-hive and want everything you know and love "updated" as well.

Bit of a retard but does anyone know a safe site to pirate the remake from? No idea where to look. Want to try it but paying full price for the remake when I can play the OG for free seems so wrong..

The evil thats taking place in the castle is specifically described as jewish kabbalah mysticism. Right down to the alchemical crafting system being done with a Sefirot diagram and the basement having actual Golem that are controlled by marking them with hebrew letters.

The monsters are:

A degenerate retard (Literally called "retard" in latin) who thinks the main character is a straw doll and wants to roughly play with her until he dismembers her.

A bitter fake woman who envies the heroine's ownership of a functioning womb, and wants to carve it out of her with a jagged shard of mirror glass.

The heroine's uncle who wants to impregnate her, and is willing to blast out both her kneecaps with a revolver to expedite this process.

The family's ancient kike patriarch who wants to harvest the living life force (Azoth) from her ovaries.

The entire story is built on top of what the ADL would describe as "Hateful Blood Libel Myths", or what even modern Kabbalah observers would describe as "Based".

That's the thing that was apparent from the first glimpses of the new models. They're all just generic White people. There's this weird almost uncanny valley with all the old models and they all look astounding in the FMVs. There's an eeriness to the realism and deep shadows. Especially when Maria is in the jail cell talking to James and you can't even see her eyes. Everyone has almost a skull like appearance because of it.

In my case, it's a facetious response to Konami's idea of a "remake" being to tone down the original.

It needed to be toned down until it was deemed palatable enough to meet the market criteria of "halloween season videogame for youtubers to be jumpscared by"; because that holds more value than the Silent Hill branding.

I remember the fanbase having similar complaints about Shattered Memories because; like this latest "installment", it was a new game skinwalking the original. It didn't help that Konami was acting as though the future of Silent Hill lay in combat-free Nintendo Wii entries. The franchise had been "psychological horror" midwit bait since 2; and Konami apparently prioritized matters such as franchise entries including Wii-mote waggling mechanics or a featured song from Korn over attempts to appeal to the core audience (which were limited to the narratively lazy premise of recycling 2's "I'm guilty of something, and forgot what it was" trope).

No matter how the SH2 remake is being graded, it could have been better executed as an original concept for a franchise reboot, rather than a "safe", cynically recycled concept for a franchise reboot. Everything of the game I've seen so far is Youtube "Silent Hill 2 FAN REMAKE in Unreal 5 demo!" quality: Fine for what it is - but not for pretending to be more.

People keep asking "What is the point of this remake?"; and it's Bloober's attempt to schmooze Konami into telling them to go ahead and make an original Silent Hill game building off of this one.

MARY, WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU!

It's not baffling at all, once you understand certain things.

A lot of that kind of 2deep4u wanking is just people on the Internet wanting to look smart and cool to their peers on social media/Discord/etc. Back in the day it was just small communities so it was just a lot more contained.

Since it is currently cool and hip to like the demake, that is what these people will do for social media brownie points. The alternative is agreeing with the uncool chuds, possibly losing e-friends, and so on.
