Not just that, but all these people who have heard about it for ages, and were huge fans or really interested in it but never bothered to play it until there was a new shiny remake. Now they can feel included so of course they have to defend it.
That horror/real-life crime youtuber, Reingbot, did a review of the game recently. It started with "as someone who's so involved in horror, SH has always been present in my mind, but I never played it because, oooh, it wasn't accessible, I was poor growing up and when I wasn't poor, they said I had to emulate it and I didn't feel compelled to do it".
If there's options and you don't wanna use them, it's not about accessibility, it's about you looking at the old graphics and saying "eeww", or being too tech-illiterate to get the ISO and fucking PCSX2 running.
Why the fuck would I listen to your opinion if you're not willing to go even that far? What do I care that the remake "broke you", whatever the fuck that overused phrase means?
