It may come as a surprise, but there are plenty of woman who like muscle guys. And there are just as many who find regular male superheroes like Superman, Thor, Captain America, etc to be handsome. Then again, the Jojo series has a way to make "effeminate" characteristics on men macho (Dio having hearts on his outfit).

Speaking of Jojo, here's a great parody on a certain Shortpacked! comic.

I would have thought the reason muscle guys were a male "power fantasy" was precisely because the artists think women like strong men. The male "power fantasy" is really making oneself look attractive to women. It may come as a surprise, but there are plenty of woman who like muscle guys. In this one about a rather decent, modest design they thought was over done and said this: "Call me cynical but I can’t help but think that the kneepads are there more for the sake of dirty jokes than actually protecting her." I even made a comment about that line in the comments section.

Shit, what the hell is up with them shitting on any woman, real or fictional, wanting or being portrayed as sexy? In the case of cosplayers, the ultimate compliment for women cosplayers is to be thought of as sexy, especially if they match or even exceed the sexiness of the character they cosplay, unless I'm horribly wrong and woke up in a bizarro universe without anyone telling me.
Vasquez in Aliens was fucking iconic and is still fondly remembered almost 30 years later.I'm guessing some of them would love it and some would hate it if a woman were the heavy gunner.
To which most of them would say "Who?"Vasquez in Aliens was fucking iconic and is still fondly remembered almost 30 years later.
SJWs are generally people filled with intense self-loathing, and therefore, they hate anyone who actually has a positive self-image. Either they're ugly, lazy, or both. In any case, seeing someone attractive triggers them by reminding them how much they hate themselves.

Wow, isn't this the definition of slut shaming? In this one about a rather decent, modest design they thought was over done and said this: "Call me cynical but I can’t help but think that the kneepads are there more for the sake of dirty jokes than actually protecting her." All this talk of shitty tumblr redesigns just makes me want to see someone tackle the cast of something like Queen's Blade.
Escher girls shat all over it, not understanding as an ecchi series, it's pretty much softcore porn. You can't censor porn to cover up the women. That's not how it works.
It's actually pretty funny. The parts of tumblr that are into weird porn and shit are mostly female fans of Queen's Blade. They're very attracted to the idea of sexy female characters in a series with lots of feminist undertones shaping the the background of the world.Despite fanservice overload a lot of the queens blade characters were incredibly tough women who worked as mercenaries, bounty hunters, assassins, pirate captains. Ironically this makes Queens Blade way more progressive than half the stuff sjws cream themselves over.
I was thinking more Dante.![]()

Why do these redraws end up worse and lack any personality?
That is an improvement, so don't worry.I was thinking more Dante.
Also, eschergirls asked commenters to stop body-shaming. It's not body-shaming when the artist just sucks at drawing bodies. Just look at the lack of a crotch. Just FYI, she mistook the cape as part of her torso.
Redraw of a redraw:

Granted, I got some problem areas of my own.
Also, what about all the lean and handsome superheros like Gambit, Nightwing or Spider-Man? Back when I was like 10 half the girls in class had the hots for Gambit (hell, some had a crush on hairy old Wolverine).I would have thought the reason muscle guys were a male "power fantasy" was precisely because the artists think women like strong men. The male "power fantasy" is really making oneself look attractive to women.

As for Queen's Blade, some of the characters' breast sizes do hinder on being kind of gross-looking and some of the designs are total eye-rollers. As in "someone please get the designer(s) a hooker" kind of way. There is a line between skimpy and stupid and for every Vampirella, there is an overdone one.
It's utterly ridiculous but slightly more bearable (but not by much) when you have designs like Quiet from The Phantom Pain who looks like a Hispanic hooker in sexy sniper cosplay, which looks idiotic but at least it's drawn reasonably well from an anatomy viewpoint, though I wouldn't blame an SJW type for finding it in really bad taste.
Unfortunately, they don't stop there. They have bitter hatred for any female portrayed in sexy and/or skimpy attire, regardless of context or art quality, which is why most of their opinions make them come off as neo-puritans, and any attempt to correct the stuff that fall below the limits I mentioned just makes them look like batshit crazy prudes.
