not sjw at all, but another jarring example of extreme art style devolving. this is just sad.

Well she aint wrong. Her art has gotten worse but it does stand out more. The first one while the first one is definitely the most skillful and detailed, it's also quite bland. The pose is stiff and colors look muted and don't guide the eyes that well. I think she should go back towards more classical anime but take thinker line work and the bolder colors with her. Especially the darker eyes would serve to make it stand out more even if her art woul still be detail rich and cute.

That's interesting. But I wonder if its really homosexuality as humans understand it, or if its the mating instinct in overdrive. A dog will hump anything , a lot of male animals rape other male animals as a show of dominance. And there is this one instance I remember where a male kangaroo tried to fuck a corpse because it needed to fuck that badly.

I'm not sure about birds, but I think generally they will still mate with the opposite sex even if it seems like they are paired with the same sex.

Bit late, timezones and missed a bunch of updates, but I remember seeing that the only animals proven to actually have homosexual tendancies, other than humans, were sheep. Other animals generally do it either for dominance reasons or stop as soon as regular access to the opposite sex is available. I'm not sure about birds, but I think generally they will still mate with the opposite sex even if it seems like they are paired with the same sex.

Both penguins and swans have had established gay couples that stay together for long term and even have stolen and/or taken over eggs that they raised into adulthood. I also think some gay dolphins have been observed but with them it's harder to say because dads don't stick around and dolphins have been also observed other unususl sexual behavior like drowning a seal pup and then returning to rape the corpse over and over againg for multiple days. All that can be said about dolphins is that they do go and get their rocks off beyond mating. Gay sex isn't terribly common in animals but does happen and sometimes it does seem to be similar to human gayness (take that how you will).

Kinda :late:, but its funny as fuck that you could cancel the graphic itself as racist, most of the world (AKA everywhere that isn't the NA anglosphere) has no direct equivalent of mammy, hell, "super dark with bright lips and hands" is pretty much a valid design choice in a lot of places, look at Mônica's gang, if you showed the nonwhite (or disabled) characters to any of those tumblrites they would have a heart attack. The USA's cutural dominance over the rest of the world worries me honestly.

Major nitpick but white hair isn't fucking blonde. Also, Yue and Kida aren't from real-life cultures. How can they be bad examples of "BIPOC" when they aren't based on actual ethnicities.

Also it kind of irks me when people act like you need a whole board meeting when creating a character that's "outside your own lived experience". Sure, it gives another dimension to a character if you draw from your own experiences but it's not impossible to make characters who don' look like you and still are well-rounded. That's the magic of fiction. I guess POC can't make white characters without permission from white people because they haven't actually experienced that?

I fear my art devolving like that. Ive lost all desire to pursue "art" despite getting scholarships and credits for it, as its just become a grind. Everyone can do it nowadays. If you cant even draw, then you can probably rig a 3d model or render shadows ect, or the work is shipped over to korea.
I still have that obsessive need to create (i do props now as a job) and draw if i can, so i stick to studying anatomy as that never changes. If you learn how the arms works, how hands are, how leg muscles are placed and where the ribs sit, then you can draw anything.
There's no excuse for noodle legs, legs can literally be copied and flipped in a program, or manually on paper

The thing that annoys me about BIPOC is how exclusive it is. Wasn't POC good enough? It gives top billing to two groups, while putting the others aside as an afterthought.
