Ya so remember when Pixar had that job offer for a voice actor who’s
A. Teens between the age of 12-17.
and
B. Can authentically portray a transgender girl.
Ya it’s real. The movie is called “Turning Red” which is about the red sweater girl who’s Chinese and turns into a Red Panda when she gets ”excited” so allegory for puberty.

The green one is the “transgender one”. And yes it’s a fucking MtF because of course we should groom teen girls into trusting troons so they’re easier to nab IRL. I do not like this pandering to autistic teenagers with this Jess character. Unless they show a scene where he tries to date one of the main girls because “trans girls are real girls”, it won’t be good.

I cannot wait for a locker room scene and Jess getting expelled.
This /co/ post sums up my emotions on this.

Has that been confirmed? If you look up information for the film none of these characters are named Jess and all three of them are voiced by women.
- Ava Morse as Miriam, Mei's friend.
- Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Priya, Mei's friend.
- Hyein Park as Abby, Mei's friend.
While the green one could very well be MTF or a FTM. The VA for her has very little online presence and nothing that says she's trans. You know if a actual woman was voicing a trans girl in such a major film the troon brigade would be all up in arms about it.
