I found this gem (heh) while browsing Tumblr early this morning. It's supposed to be Pearl and Amethyst from Steven Universe, and the only reason I know that is because of the artist's comments below the picture.

The technical ability is nice. The Amethyst could pass as a gender-bend. Even for a more "human" take on Pearl, it doesn't look like her. Couldn't the artist have at least tried to make the hair look like hers. (Personally, I always figured a "realistic" Pearl would look more like a French woman, but the nose would be a tad longer.)

I dunno why, but Amethyst bears a slight resemblance to Danny DeVito for some reason. At least in my eyes.

Also, I don't think that's Pearl.

Someone submitted this to a blog for unpopular opinions, hitting the nail on the head as to why SJW/Tumblr art is so ugly. Fortunately most of the people in the notes seem to agree, but there's still some priceless butthurt. My personal favorite is "the characters aren't blandly cute boohoo terrible art."

Because giving them red-blotched noses, raccoon eyes and hairy legs is sooo appealing.

When she doesn't have anorexic pale characters who look like cancer survivors who were a thread close from losing the battle with a bizarre amount of piercings, she draws chubby black girls with nose-rings, heavy pastel punk makeup, and try to make them a bit....TOO unique.Gotta say, love her art anatomy-and coloring wise, but her proportions for those who are skinny tends to be of them being so skinny that parts you shouldn't see of the bone's form unless you're underweight needs work.
BTW, Beryl's outfit surprises me.I'd thought she made it coloring, but I like the style she chose for the evil queen/
