Funny you should mention that. At least on tumblr, for every bit of incest/blmatsu, there's people that hate it with a passion, and if you post it you will get some nasty anons. They're usually in the Matsucest tag, which I think is why most changed to blmatsu instead? (Source: friends with a week who was into that)

I really wouldn't care about the fetishists if they didn't try to act high and mighty over r34 of other shows. I think they just link girly/kind/passive female characters to the 50s and how women were pretty undervalued at those times and the only job they could have was being a housewife and they just vehemently reject anything that could be traced back to it.

In a way it kinda speaks for themselves, too, since most of these girls are pretty selfish and have terrible tempers when reacting to things (just look at their tumblrs). It's safe to assume they react the same way in real life.

It's one thing to try and make an ugly character that is well drawn. It's another thing to make an ugly character that has bad anatomy. If they tried to say they wanted to copy the Aeon-Flux/Reign the Conqueror art style, their attempts would barely have any relation to those art styles.
