Something that I noticed becoming super common is that 80% of medias that are targeted towards children have an incredibly horrifying fandom and I very much get what you mean at the part you couldn’t be yourself around them cause oh god forbid you might offended a 14 years old with not agreeing with their headcanons.

was "cancelled" on twitter a few weeks ago. i saw a one piece fanart, criticised it in a matter of fact way, and that artist's followers took my selfie from a long time ago on instagram and used that to insult me as well as going "well you suck at art so you cant criticise others!!!!"

honestly it was my fault, i didnt know criticising art on twitter would be kicking the hornets nest.

also where did they think i got my critiques from? its only cause i made the same mistakes as that artist that i would know what to criticise. whatever im too nosy for my own good
