Yet another "I made her look less....Ugh. Hire me, Nintendo~☆"-type "re-design" of Camilla from Fire Emblem Fates. The passive-aggressive "she's less creepy now thaty she's covered up" clearly tells me how terrified the OP is of fictional tiddy that reminds them of how pathetic and ugly they feel.

Seriously, what is up with SJWs and making Fire Emblem characters unsexy? The art isn't bad, but there's something about it that just feels flat and boring.

That's because it's a flat and boring armor design, they take away Camila's main trait (sexyness) and dont do anything else with her. That's the main problem with these "re-designs", their only priority is to cover up the skin spots, not create something pleasant to look at.

Ugh... what the hell is do i get from this? I can't see anything about her seductive personality, she doesn't look special (like a royal main character should) and even if it's supposed to be pratical then those shoulder spikes are awful.

I don't know that webcomic you're talking about, sorry. I remember some proto-SJW's talking about the "Jo is a trans guy" theory on journaling sites, probably on LJ since that's where SJW's gathered before they invaded Tumblr.

I've never liked the "tomboy is actually a trans guy" bullshit because it erases GNC women, states that True Women (tm) must be ~girly girls~ to "qualify" as such and equals gender roles with gender identity - all of that is really fucking offensive, and it especially infuriates me when applied to Jo because she's not a ~perfect girly girl~ like Amy or Meg.

(I wonder how TF will they handle Jo's posterior character development, and especially her hooking up with Fritz. Will they genderflip Fritz, make him younger or simply erase him altogether, considering how many SJW's bash him for being "creepy" and "condescending" since he's older than Jo AND iirc had the gall of not mollycoddling her when he was her first proofreader?)

I'm guessing Fritz will either be trans as well, a girl, genderqueer/agender or totally change his personality. The part where the girls discuss their Christmas situation was handled well. I was relieved that the author didn't get angry at me when I questioned her why Amy would be balled up and unhappy about a bully since the Amy I know would've put her in her place ad/or planned some nasty revenge.

The author was nice about it and told me that I should wait and see since Amy is quite the firecracker. (She had fun planning this version out.) And thanked me for my opinion. I suggested that it would be more interesting the racist bully was black since it could explore some new avenues on the subject of racism and since this Amy would look more like the bully, it would hit her harder.

i think some race bendings are cool from a sheer redesign aspect (more in a "let's see how I can play around with this character's design!" kinda way rather than "the creator was wrong for making the character X race"), but like, what's the point if you don't even try and capture the spirit of the character? Take away the outfit, and he doesn't look at all like Thor. Play it up! Make him throw around lightning, show some personality!!

I feel like retaining the character's core personality is what makes the difference between a fun redesign and shameless virtue signaling

Also that skin shade looks terrible. All the references in the world, and idiots still draw black people with that weird greyish brown

The artist couldn't decide between a pirate or fantasy armor theme and choose both. Fantasy armor on the top, pirate on the bottom. The mullet of armor designs.

This is a perfect example of how NOT to shade in digital art. It’s particularly bad and most noticeable on the pants. I’m pretty sure the artist only took one tone darker throughout and shaded by using different pen pressure without trying to blend ANY of that shit. Some of it doesn’t even reach the line art. The only technique I can think of that’s worse than this is to abuse the burn/dodge tool.

Ugh, I used to be friends with Mady G for many years. She was an insecure girl that got big on deviantart, and suddenly thought co-opting the trans label would make her feel more important (she never shuts up about what a gr8 gay trans™ she is).

She went to calarts and is spoiled heavily by her parents. She frequently will lie about her background and seeks out people to idolize her. Her new chums are erratic, violent, and just overall abusive and repugnant.

Around 2015-16 she went on hormones for a whim and didn't like the results (cause she wants it to be easy and fun!). So by the time she stopped, she started calling herself agender and acts like she's the Pilar of all trans people.

She does nothing but objectifies actual transgender people, and sees being trans or gay as the only merit in many people. She has really become a disgusting mess.

Or it could go another way: why is he Thor still? Couldn't the artist have made a character based on an actual African deity? It took me five seconds to find one. But I'm guessing the reason is most people wouldn't know about this while everyone knows Thor.
