I actually think the second picture is cute. But I could only justify them as OCs cosplaying as Scooby Doo characters.
My one true objection is HIJAB DAPHNE (also she looks kinda chufty). I can appreciate changes to a certain degree but Islam is horrific and why SJWs still don't get that boggles my mind. Also muslims don't even like people with dark skin. They (we) are still considered slaves to them. Yes still. Black people are called raisin heads in the quran lol.

I don't know why, but I saw the hairstyle and wondered why they were trying to insert their shitty tumblr style Polnareff into Scooby Doo.
That's Butters, because of Marjorine that gives artists like these the avenue to say he is absolutely definitely not cis. Also, every tumblr artist gives him a sidecut like that.

I also hate how Tumblr doesn’t know shit about fashion. People don’t dress like that. I know designing characters is a excuse for dressing up your character crazily, but designs need to be a little realistic

As someone who doesn't give a flying fuck about Jojo. I don't see a hairstyle from an anime. I see a popular hairstyle from the 90s. Heck it could be Guile from Street Fighter's hair style at a glance.

You can't just make any deformed brown thing and call it whatever nonwhite ethnicity you want.
Romani don't have bulbous, snub noses and they are especially not BURNT ORANGE.
Any ethnicity you could possibly want to know more about is right at your fingertips, google images is a mere two clicks away, but that amount of effort I suppose is TOO MUCH when you're in such a hurry to vitue signal.

Something that's been bothering me for a long while is how awful tumblr artists are at stylizing, and this picture showcases many many things wrong with the tumblr style.
The square skull, triangular feet, tube skirt are elements taken from from the classic UPA, an American animation studio founded back in the 40s that produces animation with an art style heavily inspired by the Abstract Expressionism movement. Some cartoons inspired by the UPA style are Dexter's Lab, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and Fairly Odd Parents. The blocky shapes are great for limited animation as opposed to realistic animation's over the top budgets.
There's nothing wrong with simplistic art styles, but then the artist had to mash it together with a bloated SU face featuring more 'realistic' proportions (as opposed to FoP literally using one single line to convey both the nose and the mouth). The small head and small eyes don't showcase emotions well and results in a somewhat uncanny valley when mashed together with the exaggerated body. Then to top it all off, the artist cell shaded the clothing but soft shaded the skin and hair with at least 3 levels of shading.
Tumblr artists uses 'stylization' as a crutch. They want to render soft hair and skin, but don't want to study how fabric and folds work. They want to use a minimalist approach to the parts they don't want to spend time on, but couldn't bother to learn the dynamics on what makes minimalism interesting to look at (or bare to give up drawing 'detailed' 3/4 headshots as a matter of fact). The end result is just a lazy, ugly, unappealing amalgamation :/
