Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

I don't like Hazbin Hotel, but I'm definitely in awe of the fact they made something different and saw it to completion. It's not the same tumblr crap with pastel lesbians being gay and doing crime at 5 frames a second, half-animated and half-sketched. Every goddamn animation on YouTube is lesbian couple being cute, buh-arf, or the technical production of a first-year animation student who lost motivation halfway through their project. My gripes about the series aside, HH is at least doing something different, and I can respect that.
Of course what I hate most about HH are the monkeys on Tumblr screeching back and forth about how literally all of it is "transphobic" (????) and "racist" (???????????), or how any flaws are okay because "lol it's set in Hell."

Of course it's set in hell, what did you think it was for, good people? C'om, don't be that ‎r‎etarded. I really can't stand those people.

I still don't get how Tumblr has a raging hateboner over Hazbin Hotel, yet loves South Park with a burning passion.

Both have times wherein they seem offensive, but South Park's a lot more raunchier and edgier than Hazbin.
Actually, that's because hating on South Park fans is the norm. You will see them on Twitter and Tumblr the most but there's no way you will not read that show's title in most people's DNI (Do Not Interact) lists. Moreover, most people on Tumblr who "love" the show simply love it because there's two kids that supposedly are gay, but for everything else they hate what they supposedly support with a passion.

Because it got picked up by a network, and their favortie webcomic/stick-figures fighting-the-transphobic-patricarchy didn't. They'll come to hate South Park in time, or probably already do, it's just that "here's why South Park needs banned" articles are 20 years out-of-sell-by-date at this point. Your outrage pieces don't have to be logical, but they gotta be FRESH.

Here’s something I found on KYM relating to transgender headcanons

Ackshully,
this is just her underwear in comics, these are small dragons in different colors.
Also, what is up with these artists portraying scars? What's the fucking obsession with self harm.
They're dragons?? I thought they were puzzle pieces, like for autism. Oh boy, I really am going blind.

By far the worst part about the fandom is people taking real life historical figures like Nazi doctor Josef Mengele and making Hazbin Hotel OCs out of them. Kinda cringe ngl, and far worse than the show including fictional bad people.

Eh, it's Homestuck. I'd argue that since their planet is so fucking violent and has shit like acidic rain, it makes sense for the trolls to NOT have perfect skin.

EDIT: only referring to this piece in particular. I don't really get the obsession with self-harm scars on characters that have never suffered.

Ugh. The lazy ass coloring, the skin, the barfy lime bg, the fact that they have the same fucking hair color when the girl in a hoodie is shades darker than the one in a dress...

For reference:

EDIT: pics were fucked up for me, maybe it's a visual issue on my side but just in case I reuploaded.
If these weren't meant to be fanart I would think they were pieces of semi-abstract art. The way the bodies aren't fully captured in the frame makes it a challenge to even realize what happening. Too bad they gotta transform characters into milk duds with Adventure Time faces.

That thumbnail with the "How I found my art style" caught my attention cos I'd like to know so I checked it out.

Really taking your own advice. Seriously, this advice isn't taken into consideration at all as all the characters pull of the same tired-looking expression, waist-up shots and a couple even doing the same pose, the only things that stand out are the fan art cos the characters are recognisable.

And the one time you do follow your advice, it's a terrible one. I'm still trying to fathom why the artist thinks this! Why would you limit yourself to certain colours? One great example would be Glitched Puppet who uses magenta a lot and nothing really stands out. If you have a variety of colours in your gallery thumbnails, your eyes will be drawn to the pieces that pop like if the artist uploads a dark drawing next to bright colours or if you have a sequence of unified drawings, that'll stand out because of similar traits.

And personally, I'm sick of pastels.

The practice part is good advice but I don't get the bottom pink text. If your style doesn't define you as an artist, then what does? Even so, that's not true because if you have your own style and your art is mixed in with other people's pictures, people who are familiar with you will be able to spot it quickly. And to be brutally honest, her art doesn't stand out as it's extremely similar to art on here and I wouldn't be able to pick her art out as nothing about her art says "Phobeoscribbles".

I think she falls into the trap of making easy art quickly in order to get more uploads for Instagram so the algorithm favours her posts and gets more eyes on her stuff. She did say in another post to upload frequently and to have a consistent upload time (people tend to upload at times when there's a higher traffic influx). I'd like to see her break out of her monotonous style and realise her full potential rather than sticking to what's easy and quick. If she gets a loyal following, she can upload less frequently but having higher quality art will draw in more non-followers as they browse through hashtags.

Finally, I saw comments on the 2015-2020 post saying "Don't listen to the haters", Idiot! Just because they're not saying "I love your art unconditionally" doesn't mean they're wrong. I seriously hate it when people think fans have to brown nose artists. Good people point out flaws and give critiques.
I've been going through the artist's replies on the improvement post and when people tell her the old one is better, she goes in defense mode and doesn't listen. A lost cause if you try to help her. I made the critique in the spoiler cos I want you guys to learn something.

Hazbin isn't my cup of tea but I can definitely see the heart and soul poured into the cartoon.

Edit: Went onto her Ko-Fi page to see what it's like and looked through the comments, what happened to the binder?

>How i found "my artstyle"

lol their artstyle is literally animal crossing but with less variety. Makes sense considering they admit "taking elements from other styles".

After animal crossing went mainstream, this goddamn nose started popping everywhere and i hate it.

This redesign by some pompous artist blew up on Twitter.

Are you talking about the shirt or the fingers?
Since that, other pompous artists decided to join in.

Wanted to redo uzaki’s proportions to look less wonky. I mean, it’s not better but it’s better than nothing.
Why does she have no teeth besides one little fang?

I decided to jump on the trend and redesign Uzaki-Chan. I don’t care about her face I just think her design is fucking boring
Your "redesign" must be fucking boring too considering you did nothing but add a bland choker and a different shirt graphic.
There's probably worse that I didn't catch but these are some that I found on the tag first. There are also plenty of tweets making fun of these puritans, which was refreshing.
