As a former Homestuck I have to say...Homestuck was a mistake.

Not only got Ducktales butchered with that 2017 reboot but they also included DWD in it and butchered it as well.

Also racist because black woman are masculine and asian men feminine if you really think about it. The general idea being that you can't see sertain features as female and other male, becouse people come in all sorts if shapes and stereotyping like that is hurtful towards marginalized communities.

If that is how woke artists think then it seems like they're racists on their own. They're stereotyping PoC as needing to look a certain way or ascribing them as being more feminine or masculine on arbitrary standard. This is very similar to how troons claim that they're as womanly as black women, "which are masculine" - or traditional PoCs cultures do not differentiate between sexes and are queer paradise. In reality, anyone is more womanly than (MtF) troons if they're born with ovaries. And if traditional cultures can't differentiate sex, how tf do people make babies then? (I'm from a culture with third gender and they're seen as their actual sex, and not the whole "true and honest ma'am"... Until lately where TRA movements started to spread to my country.)

Even if people comes in all shapes and sizes, there are still general sex dimorphism that are universal in human species - while the descriptions of race as a distinct categories are a modern construct and many cultures do not really believe in colonial-science categorisation of race even. My country included.

Came across this video, and hooooh boy. This is what happens when you get a bunch of people from Tumblr to make their own Danganronpa.

If you don't want to listen to this girl ramble on for 40 minutes, skip to 42:19 for the designs. They're all so generic, and have that CalArts stylistic feel to them. Literally half the cast share the same face or head/body shape, and those man shoulders. And apparently (according to the comment section), the survivors have to be LGBTQT2PJUE+.
Granted, the redesigns she made aren't that much better, but still.

Nice hands.

A notable problem is how short and tiny the legs are, even though legs are usually 3/5ths of the human body. People can have long torsos or stubby legs, just not like that. Unless their headcanon is that the entire Danganronpa cast has Fairbank's disease. Not to mention the face.... yeugh
To be fair, the design at 42:24 (the pink-to-blue haired black woman) is nice, just wish it wasn't drawn in MSPaint by someone who thinks 2012+ progressive cartoon network shows are the height of entertainment.

These types gravitate to the fandoms of what's popular because it provides them with the closest thing to a shared culture they can find.

In a way, these fandoms fill the same role as religions once did, were once the shared mythology was that of their holy book, here it's the canon and expanded fanon.
What's the point of reading a book that isn't Harry Potter if there's no guarantee you'll have anyone with whom you can discuss it?
What's the point in relating to some obscure character if no one else understands your references?
Why put in the effort of explaining yourself, or creating new stories, when a shared mythology provides you with a communication shortcut in the form of references?

Bit on over styled but generally not that bad. Little work especially with noses and this could easily make fun style. I like the monsters, and Filipino folk lore isn't my specialty I can recognize few and guess what the others are about. It's a consept art anyway so those being bit awkward and bit over done to get the idea cross is normal
