Oh of course he's the crazy fundie type. I bet he didn't even bother to check if his target actually performs abortions. Most PPs don't and often refer to a medical office for any actual abortions that are too far along for the pill. So he would just be blocking care for STDs, and access to birthcontrol for impoverished women. What a hero!

Catholics don't like birth control either. You're only supposed to have sex if you wanna make babies.

I would say that Catholics are often split 50/50 on birth control because it technically prevents full blown abortions. If the egg can never implant, pregnancy never happened, so therefore it's okay. More fundamentalist Catholics are against both birth control and masturbation, but I've seen that in Protestant sects too. All Catholics can agree that abortion is never ever okay, or even an option. Skylar is literally re.tarded so I wouldn't expect him to grasp much beyond "MUH TECHNICALLY RIGHT".

The way she states it so plainly is hilarious. Why even mention you're popping some microwave popcorn and that's "dinner"?

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but Catholics take it as far as masturbation is equally sinful as gay sex because it is not procreation I think.

That may be doctrine, but nobody really gives a shit. I don't think there's been a papal encyclical about it in this century, although ones on abortion or homosexuality seem to come out every few years.

Modern Catholic's especially American Catholic's are extremely good at applying a Common Sense filter to much of the more wacky bits of doctrine. It's only the insane fruitloops such as Skylar here, that have been exposed to Catholic Doctrine, but kept isolated from actual practicing Catholic Culture that seem to have much trouble with this sort of things. (and hence his culture clash with his Catholic University.) The American Catholic Laity and Clergy have long since adopted a "Don't Ask and please for the love of god don't tell" approach to things like Masturbation. Most Priests are extremely skilled at filtering out life's little sins that we aren't supposed to see. So long as it isn't happening in public. Honestly no Priest wants to be hearing about you spanking it to Pokeporn in the confessional. It's the sort of thing that can cause PTSD in a Priest. As long as nobody saw you, it's between you and god, and please leave the poor priest out of it!

Rate me late, but I think Skylar's mom is Vicki Hentz. Barb is his grandma, who lives on Ittner road in Missouri.

I guess they are a family from farmin' stock.
Explains why he is such a pig.

Skylar is sperging like crazy on reddit (abortion/birth control is evil, evil I say!).

"A lot of people want to have their cake and eat it too. They want things that feel good but don't want the natural consequences of those things."

Fuck off Skylar. Sounds like your life motto. You want to do whatever you want, but don't want the "natural consequences".

I'm sure any police on patrol won't raise an eyebrow at a car with obscured plates. Can you imagine this doughy fucker explaining to an officer why he's driving around at night with his vehicle's ID covered?

Especially after they uncovered it, and the next morning, it turned out a crime had been committed less than a block away.

In the thread, Skylar tries using several articles and a journal to prove the point that birth control in itself (stuff like pills, not abortions) is dangerous to women. But another guy shows up and says that he is misrepresenting the information in those sources. For example, Skylar says that IUDs cause infertility and cancer, while the other redditor says that the sources say that the increase in infertility is negligible and that they only increase certain types of cancers while decreasing others, and both those chances are very small to actually be a direct cause of a cancer. Along with those tidbits, Skylar says that IUDs generally cause plenty of symptoms, while the redditor says that if they were actually dangerous, health professionals would be disinclined to prescript those. Of course, I didn't skim through the sources that they post, so I can't really comment on their validity, only on what they say.

Listen, Skylar, I am not too wild about abortion either. But birth control is not about killing babies, it is about making sure women do not have children they cannot or aren't ready to support while a loss of life is barely, if it is at all, noticeable. You can disagree with me on that point, but if the redditor you are arguing with is correct, then you are trying to be disingenuous. Which based on your track record, it's not really that difficult to believe in.

Abortion is an awful, awful thing...

But the awfulness of abortion is light years away from the indescribable horrors that forced pregnancy brings, horrors that have been documented for millennia across the entirety of the human species. I'm not surprised that Gaylar is against contraceptives and abortion, but I'd cheerfully bet my car that as soon as he's handed a stack of nappies and told to change the never ending rows of babies whose parents couldn't or wouldn't take care of them, he'd be dust on the road before you could say, "Take responsibility".

He's the blue ribbon dick who'd open the door for a woman, and who'd throw a fit if that woman refuses to make him a sandwich.
