It's absolutely stunning to see how much people on the spectrum can stick to their guns (like that one person who managed to turn "quit that" from policeman to medical sedation and trip to a cell). I mean, if he was so close to graduation wouldn't it been more prudent to actually try to finish up that degree and maybe continue working towards master's (since he is/was, self-described computer scientist)? Is there any chance for him getting an internship or something even at this point? I mean, from what I've seen his skills are similar to other slightly spergy and pudgy undergraduates (which I've seen way too much during my stint at local university), we're not talking exactly about John Carmack here - and small time IT jobbers tend to be dime in the dozen. That's the thing - I mean, couldn't he just transfer his credits from the catholic college that gave him the boot and just finish up degree somewhere else? Probably, if they're transferable. Some religious colleges are so whack their credits can't be transferred but I have no reason to think Carroll is one of those.
