Now that I think about it, there really is a special kind of degeneracy when you add titties to a magical creature from a kid-friendly franchise. Both fandoms do this, it's just that Digimon's definitely more open about making it official. (Here's an example Tumblr post where a few people freaked out over an official Renamon figurine having boobs under the detachable mane.)
The Pokémon fandom had a thread in Community, but I don't think it'll ever be revived. Which sucks, honestly, but I guess it's just too autistic to have a megathread. I find it hilarious how Pokémon is basically the Sonic fandom down to the splintered fanbase, it's just I have a hard time figuring out which is worse.
I've also seen there's some Pokémon Adventures (I mean Special) fans who are quite elitist, but they're not as vocal/widespread as the fucking genwunners.
You can find some hilarious arguments at https://arrests.org/. Usually meth addicts calling each other snitches or crack hoes fighting over their baby daddy. You used to be able to comment without signing up but now you have to register so it's a little harder to find good content.
While I wouldn't say the Klonoa fanbase is bad as a whole (it's actually alright in fact), the Rule 34 and fetishists part of the community kinda irks me a bit considering the main characters are children. And for some reason people seem to keep shipping Klonoa (again, a child) to some guy name Guntz who is much older than him.
I even read how one person learned about Klonoa through porn.
The pokemon video game fandom (the shipping fandom is a whole another story I can't get into right now)
The main problem with the pokemon video game fandom is that people blow shit way out of proportion. Thankfully it's only a small portion of people, but when you meet them, it really sucks.
I'll save some space and put it in a spoiler tab:
First you have people aptly dubbed "genwunners" who act like gen 1 is the best game even made and that it's vastly superior to the new games despite being a huge glitchfest and full of unbalanced and archaic game design even for its time. Trying to tell them that the games they played as a kid were heavily flawed will usually lead them to an unbridled screeching rage. I've had MANY, MANY encounters with these people in which after I mentioned I didn't like gen 1 a lot, they basically snubbed me. Thankfully this is only online really. It tends to be expected that you get that crap on the internet.
Then you have the loyalist fans who continuously defend stupid game design choices. While other rpgs are far superior, you have that subset that treats the games like the pinnacle of rpgs when in reality it's far behind in comparison to some others.
Then you have elitist fans who snub people who haven't played all the the main games and act like if you only like one aspect of Pokemon, you aren't a true fan or some bullshit like that. There are literally people who will snub on people who like to play GO simply because they think they aren't a "true fan" because they play a mobile game. This is despite the intention to use use this mobile game...to lead players to the main games (which I actually did meet people because of that)
Then you have people who clearly do not understand when to stop an argument. There are too many people in the online forums for pokemon that I've seen that not only blow shit out of proportion, but then have the indecency to act really dumb when called out on it. People will make outrageous claims about how GF (really Nintendo they should be directing their anger towards if anything, really) is going to go bankrupt with the next game or an obviously fake leak will appear. When it gets confirmed these rumors aren't true, people double down and pretend they still are, when they aren't. Best case is that the main pokemon (starters) got leaked months in advance. Even when, people tried to explain why they were real (it literally had anime concept art on it and was confirmed by Junichi Masuda at a convention) people doubled down and got mad when the evos weren't what they wanted.
Really, if you avoid certain places, you usually have fun 80-90% of the time, even online, but man, the salt can be real.
There is a hardcore competitive scene for the Pokemon games and sometimes when I’m casually playing and trying to find out what one new recruit learns by leveling or TM I accidentally stumble into a huge autistic slap fight about the current meta or what generation had the best version of fire spin. Smogon was a blessing for quarantining that shit.

Granted there are some competitive people I knew that very nice and introduced me to the community, but at the same time Smogon has another set of issues I can't even begin to go into. With every meta game everyone uses the same crap so if anyone remotely tries to suggest anything that isn't Garchomp or an Ultra Beast you get people acting all confused and calling you a crap player despite using overpowered mons, with OP moves themselves.
Of course you have newbies who think giving some poke Assault Vest is a good idea, but I think shaming them for that when they just got into it is wrong.

This might be totally on my head but playing Pokemon aggressively competitively is like treating smash like a fighting game. You’re playing it wrong. I have literally picked every single pokemon I have ever used purely because I think they are cute or cool looking.

Not quite a community, but people who are into the ironic "hentai ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)" shit
Terribly unoriginal and unfunny people, and are also part of why steam will eventually become saturated with mediocre softcore porn games that these goons will willingly pay for
"Haha guys look I have a hentai avatar I know so edgy and quirky amirite. Hahah I have lots of weird fetishes I'm so weird and dirty lol I love porn and anime titties hahahahahha"
