They do feel shorter even though I'm pretty sure they are about the same length.

Some of the episodes on MAX and those, uh, redistributed from there have a non-registering accelerated frame rate of about 12%. So your timer on a playback may still say like 10-11 minutes, but if you time it with an external clock, it will be just under 9 minutes.

True but the episodes for season 1 was released in bulk though, now you get a week to hype for the next episode, and yeah one week for a 10 min episode feels a little bittersweet, can't wait for when it's done so i can binge the seasons again!

Late as fuck but I only now realized Smiling Friends has succesfully become what OK K.O. failed to be in that Zach and friends can reference whatever they want and it works while OK K.O. went belly up while doing crossovers with things like Sonic the Hedgehog or Captain Planet, not even counting all the other things they reference.

This is something that they've talked about in Sleepycast, maybe in OneyPlays, and on the Create Unknown interviews: a reference joke can't just be the reference, there has to be a joke around it that someone who doesn't know the thing can laugh at. You don't need to know the OneyPlays jokes like "Lyle, they hit the Pentagon" to find the "Turn on the TV, doesn't matter what channel" joke from the President episode funny, or know the I Feel Fantastic doll to find the doll creepy and funny and jupscary in the Boss gets married episode. But if you do know them, it just adds.
