As usual, the Nintendo exclusives are mostly worth it and will be the best optimized in portable mode. There are a ton of older game ports that have the added advantage of portability, but you will want to check reviews for those first. Lots of companies are pulling half-assed optimization on the Switch.

Promising stuff is coming down the line. If you're a weeb, you probably already know the Switch is this generation's titty console.

If you don't own a tablet, download the Hulu and YouTube apps. They function very well and they look crisp in portable mode.

Get a screen protector. And a microSD card.

Best experienced on PCs. If you want to use it on a TV, it's best to just get a Set-Top box, provided you don't use an internet-connected (smart) TV.

Can you play "Rayman 2" or "Gex" on the Switch? How about "Mario Kart Arcade GP: DX"?

>this generation's titty console
The PC was the "titty console" back then. Still remains true now.

Well, I

Weeb games are fine so long as they don't waste my time and try to be profound. I don't want some saucer eyed fuck wearing a dozen belts and carrying a sword the size of a Buick giving me a 20-minute monologue about existentialism.

I was going to recommend you The World Ends With You but nevermind.

Other than that there's Mega Man 11, Blaster Master 0, mostly everything people have said before, and I'd preorder Trials of Mana, but that's just me.

Okay, so update time... I decided to return the Switch and managed to somehow be a wee bit of a bastard about it.

I packed up the Switch and headed to GS. now, the closest GS to me I hadn't been in in about a year (the one I bought the Switch at was at a GS I stopped at during a long road trip), and they had gutted the place. New carpet, new faux white-gray paneling. And as others have mentioned, the actual video game portion I would say maybe -maybe- took up a third of the space. The rest of it was nerd collector bullshit.

And then... I met the 2nd happiest Gamestop employee I have ever met (1st one was a guy from Oahu that exuded sunshine. Motherfucker was pulled right out of a "Come Visit Hawaii, Haole" brochure). Anyway, Happy Lad was hitting all the marks - came out from behind the desk to greet me, told me all about the latest deals, etc. etc. Big ol' dumb smile on his face. He must've been a new recruit because obviously GS had not grounded his soul into dust yet.

We somehow get on the conversation about Mega Man and he goes on a tirade about how he loves Mega Man, about how he loves the collections on the Switch, and how he's "all about the Switch."

I chuckle dryly, "Well, I got some bad news for ya," as I pat the bag I was carrying, "I'm returning mine."

Poor dude looked like I punched him in the liver. All of his fanboy dreams, dashed.

But, ever the professional, he went to work in setting up the return. Apparently large returns at Gamestop take about 15 minutes to complete - 5 minutes to run it through the archaic hellscape that is GS's software, and an additional 10 minutes for the store's safe to unlock. I'm guessing it's an anti-theft measure, plus then the the clerks can butter up any would-be robbers about pre-ordering Madden.

So I ended the day cash with about $400+ in pocket, which is super because now I can spend that money on more important things like caffeine and buying the Electric Six discography.

I might get a Switch again once No More Heroes 3 comes out and/or they announce the Nintendo Switch Big Chief edition. Maybe not. but if I do, I'll try to buy it from Happy Lad. That is, if GS is even still open at that point.

Nevermind, you made the right decision, fuck yeah.

So a new Nintendo Direct happened today, and it had a really good reception. But it's pretty much just the announcement of a lot of older games, like Deadly Premonition and Overwatch, coming to Switch. That pretty much sums up the Switch's fanbase for you, a lot of people getting excited to play games they've already played but now they can play them on their gaming tablet. And buy them all again at full price.

Paladins is already on Switch for free and has been for over a year now anyway, so if the thought of playing Overwatch tickles your testies, then, uh, just try Paladins.

GOD. FUCKING. DAMMIT NINTENDO.
It's not an exclusive if I understand correctly.

Sofar the only things I want to buy from the direct are the Xenoblade re-release(even though I already have the wii original) and Trials of Mana.

But Trials of Mana may not be a switch exclusive either because Secret of Mana got it's physical release on the PS4 only.

Also that new team class shooter game is just Brink.

Deadly Premonition 2 is coming to the switch! Fucking based!!!
