May I recommend rTorrent for all your torrenting needs? Just set up a watch directory and send all your RSS torrents to said directory.

How about MCabber for XMPP, perfect lightweight console-only application.

And the scrub in me would like to make a shoutout to IRSSI, for when you your autism to be /CTCP VERSION-able .

EDIT: Deluge is pretty neat if you want a GUI torrent client.

I'm trying out Brave on mobile and so far I like it. There's no fast scroll though which is gay and unrealistic.
I used Mobile Brave on iOS and it was garbage. Crashed often and did this annoying thing where the keyboard would disappear every 3 seconds. UI was nice at least.

I've been using Lightning on my Android phone, which I know is Chromium based but I'm pretty sure it's pretty separated from Google.

Really, as much as I'd like to de-(((Google))) myself, I don't see how I can in regards to mobile shit. My only other options seem to be going iOS or rooting my phone and getting some unsupported unoptimized 3rd party OS.

I know some good art shit.
Not all too related but hey, its software!

Art Programs:

Medibang Paint Pro
Pros:
-Free!
-Simple aesthetic UI thats as user friendly as possible, with a slight degree of customazition
-Comes with light and dark themes
-Cloud service saving features
-Brush creator tool, multiple built in perspective tools, lots of free texts, fonts, materials, ect.
-Amazing smoothing, antialiasing and customizable correction.
Cons:
-The program is quite simple and lacks some deeper complexities that others may offer
-You need to make an account for some features

Krita
Pros:
-Free!
-Open source
-Customizable UI
-Supports photoshop files and brushes
-Constantly updated with new experimental features
-Complicated, but offers a greater depth and far better tools than other competitors
Cons:
-UI is very busy and ugly looking
-Brush display is confusing
-Lacks documentation

MISC:
PaintsChainer: A website that uses neural-networks to color photos for you. For when you're too damn lazy to do it yourself. Also comes with a good lineart tool.
Waifux2: Amazing at upscaling art with little to no worsening Also web based.

I love going through the web and hoarding obscure websites, so I often stumble upon shit.

Glad to see im not the only one who was putoff by Coinbase. I switched to Exodus recently, it's as good as coinbase and can hold 20+ different currencies. It also has built in trading which is always a nice touch. Highly recommended.

Speaking of windows phone, the only really trustworthy tiles-based home screen is SquareHome 2, everything else under the name "Windows Phone Tile Look 20XX" should give you a clue in on how rampant shady "me-too" apps are.

By the way just to be realistic here: True live-tile functionality isn't possible in the current API level of Android, the current one (Oreo 8.1) is the closest we've been to.

I guess since we’re on the topic of mobile devices, my choice for adblock for iOS Safari would be either AdGuard or 1Blocker. AdGuard is good cause it’s completely free and comes with a roster of features and filters for ads, trackers, and other stuff. For 1Blocker, it’s pretty much the same as AdGuard, albeit has a little less features for the less informed, tech savvy people, but you only get the limited version where you can only enable one feature at a time. The full version costs $5.00, but I haven’t purchased it yet. Wasn’t sure which one I wanted, so I just choosed both, with AdGuard being my main adblocker and 1Blocker having the Anti-Adblock enabled.

Who and why still uses torrent programs when you can support and pay stuff legally with just a few bucks nowadays?

I'll agree with you somewhat. But there is a ton of stuff such as tv shows and films you can't get any other way because they never made it past the initial broadcast or to DVD. If you know where to look you can find some incredibly rare films, tv shows, music, and books that otherwise we'd have no access too. How else would anyone find the Japanese Spiderman tv show or the short lived Ethan Embry series, FreakyLinks?

Seriously though my Android apps endorsement (requires root):
AdBlock: AdWay
Firewall: AFWall+
File Browser: Amaze
Web Browser: Lightning (pro version is free on F-Droid)
Dual Factor Auth: andOTP
4Chan: Clover
App Stores: Play Store Pico, F-Droid
Email: K-9 Mail
Video Player: MX Player Pro (with optional codec for hardware acceleration)
YouTube Player: NewPipe
Music Player: Poweramp
Note Taking: Swiftnotes
System Tweaks:
BusyBox Pro (required for some apps mentioned, includes auto-updating)
System Cleaner: SD Maid
Service Management: Servicely
Battery Life Improvement: Amplify
Root Manager: SuperSU
Privacy Enhancement: Protect My Privacy
Xposed Framework (required for some apps mentioned as well)
Launcher: Nova Launcher
Recovery: TWRP

As for actually purchasing some of the pro versions of these apps, just do it. I know, accuse me of being a shill, but features like auto-updating and scheduled phone cleaning make it worth it IMO. All the apps I mentioned together shouldn't even be that expensive. It's safer than downloading a cracked .apk from sketchy site. Easiest way to root your phone is to get one with an unlockable bootloader beforehand. DON'T use that kingroot chink spying shit.
