As hilarious as that would be, if they are hands off with western releases then they won't have to worry about a disaster like that. They can fuck over niche Japanese devs like PQube to their hearts content and no one outside of KiA's hugbox will notice.

These moral busybodies will have to move onto something after finishing off the Japanese console industry.

What does Sony believe is their end goal here? People don't put up with this kind of treatment long, and with gamers worked up and vigilant over censorship and NPC meddling, they're going to be voting with their wallets sooner rather than later.

What sucks for me is that I bought a PS4 and started putting money into it just weeks before Sony adapts this Code of Sarkeesian.

Also, weird how this shit starts happening right before an election.

Who would buy a visual porn novel without any porn in it, though? It's like cutting out all the jokes from a comedy flick, lest one of them gets deemed offensive.

It's money, Sony desperately wants to be the new family friendly console that all the kiddies beg for on Christmas. It has nothing to do with muh sjws or muh Gamergate.

Except nobody wants the PS4 to be the family-friendly kiddy console except Sony and SJWs. This is going to backfire drastically.

I can't help but feel that Nintendo declaring themselves the "no politics" platform was a calculated move. They either had inside info that Sony was about to paradigm shift into a non-binary safe space or they were looking at current trends. Now they're the company that doesn't paint sun beams on your games and the Switch is where the money is for weeb refugees.

I doubt it.

Sony already have a huge lead. They decided to fuck over Rocket League and Fortnite players simply because they could. They also made it this far by presenting themselves as the grownup games console, or at least something like home electronics.

But let's say that Sony was trying to be the family friendly console company. Why have some California hipsters censor some niche Japan only weeb games? Wouldn't it make more sense to censor popular games that kids are actually going to be asking for?
