Having played Rayman Redemption to 100% a while back, I can say that it's not really a perfect replacement for the original Rayman given just how fundementally different every level is designed compared to the original (like every level in Redemption being designed with you having every ability when having to earn them throughout the game was factored into the design) and imo going for 100% even with the collectable tracker items gets tedious in its own way in the back half with having to roam the same 4 parts of a level segment just to make sure you get everything.gee, it sure is a good thing that there isn't a ground-up remake of the original Rayman that has a bunch of QoL features that you can download for completely free or anything -
Oh.
Though given this rerelease has the entire design bible for the originally intended SNES incarnation and a convenient way to play the PC expansion pack levels, it actually might be worth getting through the seven seas, though the fact that what is extensively a PS1 game is a highlight for a State of Play says a lot about how bad the PS5 has got in terms of releases.
