So i've noticed that a lot of sharty people are involved with the streamer Andre's Wrld. They happen to be the moderators and admins of the server and have Andre play all these weird games and videos. Well these people are now involved in controversy with Bill Jensen because they doxxed him on stream and have been reporting his mediashare since they think that Bill is purposely showing the shockers on purpose and profiting off of them and now Bill and his fanbase are accusing them of being pedos who send the videos in to get him banned.

Probably, but I remember the jarty making edits like these of funerals with soot or soytan with word replacements to talk about /qa/ or sharty stuff. they were fine posts for the time, but now that the sootist hangout is dead, it seems trite to lament at this point.

Do you not see that the old internet is in its twilight years? Is it not obvious the last echos of an older generation of fun-loving, free shitposters operating on the open internet are finally coming to an end? This statement is the croaking death-cry from someone who just doesn't know they've already lost. The sharty is just a shambling corpse thats owned and operated by its greatest adversaries. You're defending a dead king.

All independent sites are cornered one side by draconian big-tech platforms increasing censorship and on the other side a horde of sickening pedophilies and opportunists willing to take any crumb of freedom as a sign of their welcoming. The sharty's an amazing example of falling to the latter: Its entire old userbase was scared off by constant CP spam attacks, the unjulating cyst that is "discord raid culture" becoming the norm on the site, janny infiltration by actual pedophiles, and massive newfag invasions from off-site that crippled the site's fragile culture. The site's original owner initially sold it out to its enemies due to not being able to handle this clusterfuck.

As of today, normal people don't have the resources to deal with this kind of nonsense. That's why big tech won in the end. They provided reliable systems that didn't go down often, didn't have CP everywhere, and were fine to use for most situations. That gave them near monopoly over information, which is bad, but this is the future people chose: No one wants to deal with these problems.

The sharty's slow beat down by the intensity of the modern internet's lunacy is a pattern seen time and time again. Few sites take off anymore. The few that do usually end up being raped to death by the attrition of the internet (both from censoring authorities and deviant weirdos). Kiwifarms is the only exception to that I've really seen and even this site has a small bus factor. Null is one angry government and away from ending up like Pavel Durov. In reality, these "alternative platforms" are not the solution we need, but people back them anyways.

The best thing people can do for now is hop sites when things get bad, but good sites are getting more and more scarce. There really are no more greener pastures online so that really only leaves using the internet less. It's either that or hiding in obscurity in Discord group chats to get your kick, but that's really gay and still has the big tech problem. The real solution is probably something one of those tech-bro Free Software Foundation bitcoin schizos rant about, but no one wants to use those or make them accessible, they rather suffer.

I don't have a solution to this, but I can tell you one thing I know for sure: The solution is not to back the sharty. If the sharty was your last stand, then you already lost.

theres a discord clone called matrix which is decentralized and you host your own server iirc but its also overrun by pedos and because its so secure it probably sees a lot of child porn being shared
