Cyclops (but not really): "OK, you stopped hundreds of people from beating each other to death, but I am outraged over it! The best solution is to escalate the violence by attacking you!"

Medusa: "Sure, no one asked us if turning people into freaks was OK with them, and yeah, these mists are killing mutants painfully and slowly, but what's the big deal?"

Storm: "Gosh, I could just create winds to divert the cloud away from people, and torrential rain to dilute the cloud until it disperses, but that would actually make sense."

Magik: "Well, I could just teleport the cloud to Limbo or use a spell to deal with it, but then I wouldn't get to show everyone my awesome Final Fantasy VII cosplay/stripper outfit!"
 
Everything about it leaves a horrible taste in my mouth.

Oh, and Emma's gone full Yandere now.

The Wacky Raceland mini-series and my disgust-morbid-curiosity relationship with it is finally over. It's an exorcise in badness from "edginess", massive fandom rape, attempts a drama that should have "How Could This Happen to Me?" playing (especially with Dick Dastardly), an entirely unlikable cast who are pretty much their characters in name only, boring car designs and dumb writing. The only thing that that keeps it from being so bad-it's-good is the boring writing that makes it a slog to read.

I think one of my favorite books was Sergeant Rock of Easy Company.

Imagine the amusement I got when the JLA animated series had a bunch of cameos in their "Savage Future" arc.
 
So I've been reading random shit I've downloaded of /co/ awhile back lately.

Defoe from 2000 AD is pretty neato.
 
My family celebrated Christmas early due to my sister and her family having to visit their in-laws. Along with an anthology of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers and Fante Bukowski (he reminds me a little of James Dobson), I also got the first volume of Peter David's run on the Incredible Hulk.

So far I'm enjoying it. What really interested me is not only how Todd McFarlane's artistic abilities evolved from this comic to his work in Spawn, but how coloring techniques have changed over the years and how simple it used to be.
 
I had considered investing money into the Invader Zim comic series, only to be disappointed in the fact that you can read a volume in about 1-2 minutes.

I heavily dislike comics due to how thin they are. Could anyone suggest series that come in a thicker pack?

A lot of omnibuses would probably fit your mark, I have several Flash ones that I enjoy quite a bit but I'm a Flash sperg since before it was cool. In general comic books take more time to create per story event, so having thinner books is the standard, especially when you get into non-superhero or graphic novel adaptation shit. :(

For non-superhero stuff, Habibi by Craig Thompson was a pretty thick, like 600+ pages thick.

I lost a bunch of my Flash comics in a house fire a couple years ago so know I'm trying to collect the good ones again, but I can't remember the issue numbers and the name of the run for a lot of them *sigh*. If anyone can remember the issue #'s for good Rogue focused Flash comics lemme know.

I remember either an interview or a note in the comic that Jhonen explicitly wanted to flesh out Gaz more, as he felt that she had been underused and underdeveloped during the show.

They sell $125 omnibuses (like the ones for JSA and Green Lantern, which I highly recommend) for as low as $70, and shipping and handling is free of orders of $50 or more. They're hardcover and full-color, at around 1000 pages each, so you're definitely getting your money's worth.
 
I got an Amazon gift certificate for $40 from my sister and I had some extra money laying around so I went and bought some graphic novels. The first is the Neal Adam's Batman Omnibus which I'm especially interested in since it will also be combined with Dennis O'Neil's writing. Which I hear is one of the best Batman writers.

The other is the Judas Coin and the complete Elingtonville Club.

It's a Flash site that's been up for almost 20 years, and the link is to a page that shows each issue that focused on the origins of one of the Flash's "Rogues Gallery".
 
So I'll mention this here, since I don't want to necro any of the Ghostbusters threads. Next year, IDW is going to introduce the 2016 Ghostbusters team into their long running Ghostbusters series. The event, called Ghostbusters 101, is started when an event causes the two universes to combine and the two teams join forces to investigate the cause.

Of note, the series is a continuation of the current ongoing storyline and features the same writers, who thus far have written several really good stories. Considering the massive work they've done with Winston's character they stand a good chance of making the 2016 team likable and well written.
