You know when Hulkling and Wiccan first came out as gay Young Avengers, that was before everything turned really degenerate so people were just like "oh cool, I guess".
Now? As it stands, there's only 2 reasons to remember the Young Avengers. One of those reasons is that gay relationship being fucking shilled by Marvel. The other is Marvel shilling Kate Bishop, but I can't tell if that's a shill or genuine popularity.
Now, let's think about the OG Young Avengers stuff.

- kid vision- yeah he got better. and bigger.
- america chavez- technically not really an og member but she kinda got associated with them iirc. started off as more of a mysterious character and then suddenly someone's fetish splooged all over her backstory. she went from someone that could have been interesting into some kinda fucking weird thing that i can't cohesively remember.

I find that to be interesting.
You want two characters that will probably end up together? Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. Yes they were basically lovers in the Injustice comic but still.

Is Sebastian Shaw gay or bi yet? He actually seems like a good candidate for the gay conversion and I think it can be done well. Nathanial Essex also feels like someone that they could re-write into pansexuality and it would make some sense but the problem is that I can't recall him having much of an interest in any mutant sexually or romantically so he's not going to suck iceman's icicle or stick it into Chamber's fission hole.
They can turn Cyclops, he's always been a fag. Makes more sense than Iceman.
But I really just came here to complain about them making Taskmaster a woman. I haven't seen the movie but it goes against what I like about the character: there is no character, sort of, he's an unknown. By making him a woman they add too much and that makes Taskmaster stand out from the rest of the bad guys. Barry should appear to be silly costume wearing generic muscleman villain #213, by his own choice, to fly under the radar and throw people off so they don't know who he is in real life. It also seems like they added a backstory and that's wrong.
They're taking too many liberties.

We had one of the main characters of Avengers Academy, Finesse, be essentially a younger heroic female coutnerpart to Taskmaster (with less of a detrimental side effect iirc)
I was also speculated that she may be his daughter.
A female taskmaster isn't out of the question tbh. But I think they fucked up the execution.

I am kinda glad that I dropped reading super heroes comics, it is all too much of a bullshit to deal with.
But man, I love Taskmaster mini (2010) and the pseudo sequel in Deadpool vs Punisher (One of the best action comics in the genre)

I really hated when they rolled out his backstory and how he was deep secret triple agent glowie. I liked the idea of Taskmaster being someone that wanted to build a nest egg then shed all the cape bullshit, maybe start a family and live a normal life without anyone ever knowing what he used to do for a living.
If you're into the concept of Taskmaster I recommend the movie Chocolate, not the Johnny Depp one, the Thai one. It's about a young girl with photographic reflexes. It's a good action movie and it has one of the most creative fight scenes ever when it comes to style vs style. If anyone has read old [x] it will be familiar.

I think it was cool because of his memories problems, even if he went with the idea, the status quo wouldn't allow it, he needs to be a comic book character regardless of his desires or intentions, but since his character does have this memory problem, it kinda fits.
Another good Taskmaster comic was his participation in Avengers Academy as a teacher. Hell, marvel comics was so good before Avengers vs X-Men, after that it all went downhill so fast. It literally made me hate mutants so damn much, I fucking hate the whole concept ever since, marvel universe would be better without muties for sure.

That's the best one but without the context of the movie it lessens it, that fight is towards the end.
