Spider Man No Way Home - Thank God the Japs took this franchise from Disney

Another Capeshit that has all the multiverse shit. When can we have movies that can stand on their own without having to deal with this mumbo jumbo.

Considering this is Phase 4 MCU, who cares?
This. I am really so sick of Spider-Verse stories. Peter Parker is not Rick Sanchez, he's not some kind of interdimensional warrior who has to team up with his alternate selves in order to combat a common evil. They've done that storyline like 10 times in the past decade. Seriously, fuck you Dan Slott for popularizing this absurd trend.

I'm willing to let it go for No Way Home since we're getting the OG actors and maybe Maguire and Garfield, and Into the Spider-Verse did handle it fairly well in its own right, but this Spider-Verse trend needs to end with No Way Home. Give us good Spider-Man stories with Peter or Miles that don't need to rely on interdimensional travel.

Why do all Marvel shit look like a sitcom, they are $200 million blockbusters, you can afford good lighting and colour grading.

The Netflix shows even looked better, they even have correct black levels.
because no one cares enough, we're all going to be watching it on phones or old hdtvs or computer monitors.

show me an amazing piece of content shot on digital with great colour grading.

I personally feel this movie is going to be shit; remember Marvel is amazing at trailers, shit on execution. Plus the fact that they turned J J J into @Null with his MATI-esque show where he calls Peter a "menace" that needs to be sacrificed to the corn, and we all have to side with Parker leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

He's a Mick Spic which means the dude can drink.
we should be thanking god its not a mexican jew.

Honestly this multiverse shit is probably just an unintended side effect of Marvel doing multiverse stuff in general for phase 4, but it is annoying for Spider-Man to constantly be used for them, I miss the days where he’s just a normal guy who wants to help and deal with criminals who had more low level goals which for all there faults is why the previous MCU Spider-Man films worked since the villains were people who just wanted stuff like money and fame who were just schlubs with advanced tech.

The consiquences of his actions will be that he winds up in a universe nearly similar to the one he left where people call him Deadpool

I want to see Iron Jonah break through the Multiverse.

In the trailer they're reading the NY Post, not what I would expect to be its Spider-verse version. Wonder if the Daily Bugle just gets dropped in a digital age.

That's honestly what I miss. I hate that they've been doing Spider-Verse stuff so much, and while I'm willing to look past it for NWH, they need to stop it.

Like, I'm criticizing it when it's early. When people get fed up with every other movie, TV show, and comic event doing some kind of multiverse Spider-Man crossover and long for normal, ground-level, non-Rick and Morty type adventures, I'll just be here.

Yeah No Way Home is just an exception since it’s more of part of the multiverse set up and they have returning actors. But I really hope if they do future Spider-Man movies to not have to rely on the multiverse since it could get to the point Spider-Man is known for that instead of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man

@mindlessobserver
I would embed this, but apparently phone posters cannot access the functions to do anything but type.

Fourth option under the second set of ellipsis. Rarely am I not a phone poster and I can do all kinds of shit.

Lots of great looking stuff shot digitally. Here is a list of a few that have been done digitally and don't have any of the issues Marvel movies have.
Apocalypto
Skyfall
Life of Pi
Sin City
Avatar
Gone Girl
Wolf of Wall Street
Blade Runner 2049

Many people do care about how ugly Marvel movies look, but those people aren't a big group in any way, least not big enough to get Marvel to give a dam.

What do you have against the Jebrews, amigo?
they are terrible prom kings

say what you will about marvel, they know the difference between show and tell

Honestly, much like giving the option to turn off JJ in the Spiderman games, I think he'll remain strong despite that. Oh there'll be plenty of people that will scream on the internet about how mean he is but the majority will enjoy the humour and JJ will remain entertaining.

They can try to have him removed but Jameson has been in the Spidey franchise for years and has outlasted multiple reboots of the movies. He's one of the few fictional tabloid moguls I am aware of that people actually like, mostly due to being given more depth and rational behind his behaviour as a result of being a cast member in a long running comic series. It also helps that he provides a face to all of Spiderman's bad publicity that people can hate rather than it being the nebulous general populace.

It's not though. SONY saw what Disney had cooking for their Phase 4 and took back control. They own the rights to spider man. They are still allowing the character to be "in", the MCU, but all stand alone films are written and directed by Sony and all his appearances in the MCU have to be pre-approved by Sony, with the right to unilaterally Veto any Disney script with Spider Man in it or removing the character entirely.

They aren't going to let those hacks "deconstruct" and "reimagine" one of their biggest IPs

Because Sony has such a great track record with Spider-Man…
