Spider Man No Way Home - Thank God the Japs took this franchise from Disney

Other leaks suggest Mysterio returns for this outing, adapting this controversial storyline

So Dr Strange can manipulate the minds of everyone on earth, but is absolutely stumped on how to assist with The Blip.

This is just going to undo the end of the second film isn't it.

I wonder if all the batshit plots they're stapling together in this is going to end with Strange doing it where there is a "copied" universe where the Sony shit is going to take place that "has some MCU characters in it" (Toomes/Vulture is confirmed as being the Keaton cameo in Morbius right?) but isn't taking place in MCU proper. Sony implied they wanted their shit to take place in the the MCU and Kevin Fiege was quick to put that to bed, I wonder if the compromise for a longer Spider-Man rental period includes them sucking it up for one movie that ends with Marvel essentially handing them an MCU-lite to do whatever they want with.

It looks like they are basically doing Spider-Verse but for the live action films and I'm down for it.
Fully agree, especially since Alfred Molina & Willem Dafoe have aged gracefully and nailed the both Dr. Ock and Goblin so well.

Why attempt to beat perfection which is what Raimi achieved with several of his incarnations? I just hope it's true that Jamie Foxx is playing a different version of Electro because ASM2 is a trainwreck.

You know Mr 2000s Nostalgia is hyped for this movie, it's fascinating to think of Hollywood really dipping into that well.

the byline about Japan made me think somehow The Emissary Of Hell, Supaidaaman! was going to be involved
A yeah yeahhhhhh WOW!

A YEAH YEAHHHHHH WOW!

The Disney Sony deal for this movie is, Disney puts up 25% of the budget and gets 25% of the profits. Disney wanted a 50/50 deal, which is what Sony walked away from.

My guess is, Sony may keep Spiderman in the MCU if they can get the same deal with Disney again, but will move forward with a Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire if this movie is a hit. Would make sense, to make a final one, they can milk the last bit of love out of the Sam Rami movies. With the multiverse being set up, not stepping on the toes of MCU Spiderman and they can see how a Spiderman movie would now do without the MCU links, so let's say for a Tom Holland Spiderman 5 which move away from the MCU allowing Sony to get the full 100% of the profits.
Would love to see the Raimi movies get a proper conclusion.

I'm thinking that this films entirely plot is going to be Peter coming to terms with the fact that he can't have two lives; if he tries to focus solely on one others suffer for his choice.
That's why I think Aunt May is going to die in this one. While MCU Spiderman got to skip the origin story I don't think there's ever been an Uncle Ben moment...in fact I don't think there's been an Uncle Ben at all. It's just been May this whole time. She's gonna get hurt bad and a teary-eyed Tom Holland is gonna get the speech with that 'With great powers come great responsibilities' moment and he'll have his epiphany.

Uncle Ben died prior to Homecoming.
And we did get that moment: when Tony Stark died.

May god hear you my friend, I'd sacrifice half of the MCU to have Raimi spidey back

I don't recall them mentioning him but it's been awhile...and eh on the Stark thing. It's gotta be someone close and while Stark was 'fatherlike' Peter spent more time with Happy than he did Tony.

I will sit through a million jokey Mouse wankfests if it means Spiderman 4.

So who's gonna be the sixth member of the Sinister Six? We know Goblin, Doc Ock, Electro, Sandman, and Lizard. My guess is, it'll be either Vulture, or Scorpion, since they set him up in the first MCU Spider-Man movie, and haven't mentioned him since. Maybe the Bugle puts out a bounty on Spider-Man's head, Mac Gargan tries to collect, and links up with the multiverse villains? If none of the villains actually belong to Tom Holland, I'll be let down
