Whenever I see something about the Avengers game I think "When is that releasing?". I know it's out but the release and reception was such a weak fart that it's barely registered.

They should have created this game like 5 years ago when the avengers hype was still huge. I feel like now a days people don't really care about them as much, but that could just be me I guess.

The game had 3 years of development time, was allegedly rushed to all hell, and they still couldn't get it out until a year *after* Endgame.

Why did this game take so long to make? The gameplay is nothing special. Was it netcode? The graphics? Why go all out on realistic looking graphics if you can't even get them to look like the movie characters?

Someone should have been working on an Avengers game after the first movie was a huge success. Start in 2012, get it out by 2016/2017.

Whoever greenlit this shit AFTER Civil War was a dumbass.

Whats up with all these archer gals in videogames anyway, isnt there another weapon they could use?

Likely because it's what people assume the Amazons used, they assume it's easier to train and handle than a sword or axe while still allowing for deadly strikes, it's better than giving them guns in terms of fairness [since most people can't get up from a gun shot and they assume an arrow that misses won't be as bad as a bullet that misses killing a kid somewhere], and possibly some ideas I've missed.

In this case its an established comic character and she's probably going to have a variation on regular Hawkeye's moveset so less work to get her working.

Miles Moralas wasn't liked until The Spiderverse movie happened, and the movie was only good because they wrangled away any control from Bendis who created Miles in an attempt to rub his readership into the carpet stain of racism. When you create a character for the sole purpose of "I WANT TO SHOW YOU HOW RACIST YOU ARE" it's fucked. You're coming from the angle that you're superior from your reader and it's always very offputting because the writing style then becomes not being based around wanting to tell an interesting story but how you should kneel and grovel before the author.

But then the rest of it I'm disregarding because in and of itself shows that "diversity" wasn't the problem, shit writing was, since they had a "diverse" film and now game that are both doing well because the people working on them actually give a shit about quality. Miles Morales is a way better character than Kamala Khan, there's no way anything with Kamala Khan could be good.

But the main reason was because the game is called AVENGERS and Kamala is not an Avenger, Miles is still at least a Spider-Man, it'd be like making a Spider-Man game where you play as Squirrel Girl.
