Squid Game - battle Royale but adults!

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I finished it last night, I enjoyed it. I didn't mind the troon character, I actually laughed a few times like when he suddenly appeared behind the two women going to the bathroom and when he voted to continue for his ditch operation and when the old lady called him unsightly.

The only I really wasn't into was the cop's storyline. He infiltrated the island by himself in the first season and then just spends 7 episodes meandering around in this season, it should be beyond obvious the boat captain is a mole. He just picks him up in the water near an island he now can't find?

Mingle was great, very high pressure and nerve racking.

Solid 2/10 since they gave us half a season and nothing memorable happened I enjoyed watching it but I probably won’t remember it or watch it again season 1 was way better

-Troon was the most annoying character specially since he doesn’t bother to act like a lady (when his bestie go killed outside that room) and how he is also that super genius who solves all the puzzles in the 5 ppl game

-Thanos was funny but I was glad he was dead since he became too annoying and like a bully

-MC was great until he decided to go on that crazy plan even if they killed 1 guard they could have all been punished and there is no way they could have taken this many and survived considering 5 seconds earlier they were slaughtering each other and now they are supposed to be 1 team unrealistic.
Also how could he forget that staff can be players and he blindly trusted 001.

-001 was clearly the best character since he knew how to play both sides and end up victorious.

-I wish we knew more of the game planners and the game itself the door game went for too long and the revolution was dumb and unnecessary I notice many Netflix shows like money heist completely go off topic and include a random epic shootout for no reason I wish they just focused on the game.

It felt like any other squid game since they switched the game so MC doesn’t have an advantage anymore and nothing remarkable happened let’s wait for season 3

I actually enjoyed the Shaman despite many finding her annoying, very curious about how her cult is going to work in season 3. I wonder how far the antagonists are going to make it. (Seon-nyeo/Shaman, Jeong-Dae/Player 100, Nam-gyu/Player 124) in season 3.

So one of the games was laser tag? I didn't see much of the leaks, I knew some of them were fake and/or ai, but I wonder if Laser Tag was confirmed. That could play a role if one of her cult members betrays her. I don't see her dying during Why Did You Come To My House? (Unless that was proven to be false as well). But I believe in my theory she's going to be betrayed by her cult.

Never allow kpop idols to act again. Jo Yuri cannot act.
The hallucinations were pretty fucking trippy during the jump rope game, I liked those. I'm going to cut slack on the VIPs since they are meant to be annoying, but they were more annoying than season 1. Shaman went out anticlimactically, but it was hilarious when one of her followers was like "You don't know what you are doing!" The maze game was really interesting to be fair. Adding the baby to the game was the most predictable option. Same with Gi-hun killing himself

Jun-hee is still boring. The hallucinations when Min-su was stomping at Thanos and Nam-gyu in the final game was hilarious and jumpscared me lol. Jeum-ja's death made me very sad.

They should have stuck with one season. Very mediocre, I wouldn't call it garbage though. I dread how the American spinoff is going to go. What are our predictions for Squid Game US?

poc MC, VIP Trump, illegal alien vs ICE game, the toilets & beds are gonna end up filthy and the big prize is gonna be that ICE can't deport you and access to taxmoney for non-public related purposes.

Holy shit guys, dude spent 2 seasons getting bamboozled by a fisherman just to get a glimpse of his brother on the final episode, the stakes had never been so high.
The pacing was fucking atrocious, the first season managed to get so much done on just 9 episodes with a very active infiltration side-plot, meanwhile here both side-plots moved at snail's pace and got jackshit done besides getting a single dude to escape.

Wow that ending was shit. Lots of weird writing choices and directions they went with some of the characters too.

-The plot armored baby really changed everything for the worse, of course it ended up being the winner.
-When Gi-hun died in the last episode I was already checked out. I know they confirmed - apparently two days ago, mind you - that there wouldn't be a happy ending but that was still dumb.
-Appreciated the Thanos cameo.
-Old guy lasted way too long.
-In-ho getting away and the teaser for the American spinoff was eyeroll-worthy.

I didn't hate it but it's definitely the worst season.

I just finished the first two episodes now. Honestly, they were both fantastic; the hide and seek game was absolutely genius and brought back that sense of tension, desperation and despair that made Season 1 so compelling. I don't expect the ending to be well-written whatsoever, but I have to say I was satisfied with those first two episodes. They were far superior to anything in Season 2, bar that season's intro episode. Seeing the crypto dude gives his balls a tug and embrace his inner ruthlessness and protectiveness was awesome - he gets massive bonus points with me for killing the troon, who continues to be the manliest of all the male characters in the entire show. Nam-gyu is shaping up to be quite the villain as well, much scarier and less annoying than that Thanos loser. Not sad to see the loser cuck who said troons were prettier than real women die either.

Yeah this was good. The 3rd ep kills it with the foreign VIPs appearances. Kinda speed watching it now since I'm kinda checked out.

You're probably better off waiting for the 3rd season, because as it is, you're not going to be left satisfied.
It was worth it.

There is no perfect ending that'll leave everyone happy, but this is the closest you'll get to satisfying the audience (me) and Netflix executives. That just leaves me worried for the spin-off.

The hide and seek set was very beautiful in it's own twisted way. I felt the tension there as well, and enjoyed the suspense that came from it.

Honestly about the ending, I'm still processing my feelings about it. I feel many are mad that it wasn't the perfect happy ending.
As much I don't want the series to be dragged out and milked, I was more interested in an 1988 spin-off about the first Squid Games. Not really looking forward towards the US Squid Games. They claim David Fincher is a good director, but I honestly don't know much about him.
