Can't wait to see them turn the conspiracy bugs into a pro-immigration message!
The Gelth were just innocent refugees!

Did the, the producers, asked her to maintain that weight to virtue signal about body posivity?

That's the only reasonable explanation for her not to take care of her weight.

If not, she is comittimg carrer suicide. Not to mention she's being incredibly dumb. As bad as Discovery is she should be using it to promote herself by looking her best to get better roles. It's possible. Pike's actor even got his own spin off despite being a straight white male that they hate so much.

And if she thinks that's bigotted, that wouid be like complaining being a cop is dangerous. Looking your best in Hollywood IS part of the job.
The producers can't fire her. Right after she had a baby she announced that she was bisexual. She's part of the protected class now.

I've been watching The Orville, finally. I'm only two/three episodes in, and on the one hand I'm enjoying some aspects of it (the episode on the adrift colony ship felt very "trek").
On the other: Every time Seth opens his mouth I just hear Brian Griffin doing a Kirk impression... And more importantly; the more overt attempts at humour are simply not very funny.

It's too "self aware" and has the hallmark Family Guy system of people pointing things out. I hope this improves as things progress.

Additionally: Gul Dukat did NOTHING WRONG. Nothing bad happened during the occupation, and if it did the B*jorans deserved it.

It gets better. They dial back the forced humour.
yeah I haven't watched it but from everything I've heard it becomes clearly
"well, here is our network mandated dick and / or fart joke. okay, now that's done, let's have some star trek"

also RIP to Nichols
she was legit hot back before she was a million years old

Alright MSM, I'm really sick of hearing about that Kirk/Uhura kiss in that frankly awful episode. There was so much more to Uhura and Nichols than that. Please lead with her other accomplishments when eulogizing her.

It was painful to see her at the end. It reminded me of this.

When people make obits, PLEASE refrain from using the elderly photos. Most people, including myself, would like to be remembered in their prime.

Depends on the person really, it's often okay with a dude or some woman who aged particularly well. Clint Eastwood is the kind of guy who seems to be always in his prime no matter how old he gets.

That's because his face was turned into leather back in the '60s, and it's been that way ever since.

It's been so long since I've watched Star Trek VI that this came as a genuine shock to me today.

I do love how older Trek actors often ended up getting parts in newer series. Quite a fun treat to see them again.

Odo's been around longer than he's willing to admit, too. Always ends up in security...
