From what I've heard STP Season 3 has been absolute garbage, can anyone confirm?
Meh it's been better than S1 and S2 but that's not really saying much. It's had some really good episodes, but the overall arch is just kind of meh. I'll be glad when it's done.

Oh and I hope it's really done this time, I don't even want one last movie 'cause you know they'll manage to screw it up somehow.

Less shitty than the first two seasons. But, that's like saying you've found the least rotten piece of meat in the garbage. Where there are morsels of stuff that's nice and safe to eat. But, you're still eating trash and picking around fetid bits.

PIcard Season 3 is like being grateful for someone not pissing directly into your eye anymore. You're damp, stanky, and regret everything that brought you here, but at least now you can see straight. It's in no way good, you're still covered in piss for some fucktarded reason, but it could certainly be worse.

Picard season 3 is middling but not worthy of hyperbole either positive or negative. As someone who didn't watch any nuTrek so far, I'm finding it more entertaining than the TNG movies at least. Sure it's mostly respectful and halfway competent, but cheap feeling and not especially outstanding. The actual sci-fi is weak, the fan service is strong. The characterizations are good, but the drawn out plot is a chore. (After eight hours of getting the band back together, can we please get to the actual story in the last two?) For what it's worth I've posted spoiler reviews in this thread every Thursday morning for the past eight weeks.

As someone who hasn't watched NuTrek period and only read reactions on this thread, it sounds fucking terrible and incompetently written. It relies way too much on memberberries and not actually doing anything except screaming at the audience, "LOOK! THE BAND IS BACK TOGETHER!". I am honestly perplexed how you can say this isn't bad. Maybe you have Mandalorian syndrome where you think dog shit with some dressing on it is somehow not dog shit because you're so desperate for something new, you'll staple the rose tint glasses to your face.

I will admit though that only one of the TNG movies were actually good.

Imagine commenting about a show you haven't even watched. Ok dude whatever. I don't know about Mandolorian, I don't care about that shit. I'm watching Picard season 3 because I like old Star Trek and heard it was good if you view it independently from previous seasons. That doesn't mean it is actually good.

Weird how it's seemingly impossible to correlate data and form an opinion on said data because you don't want to waste your time being preached to or seeing several seasons of character assassination. You can call it dumb all you want but at the end of the day that's time you're not getting back just to be spit on.

That being said, you do you.

Viewed completly divorced from previous seasons, which I did begrudgingly watch, Season 3 is still a failure on every conceivable level. As many have already noted it gets by only on having a cast of characters we have a pre-existing emotional attachment too but has nothing to stand on its own ,or even justify its existence. As well as viewing it independently from previous seasons try also viewing it independently from TNG and see how it looks to you then.

Also the TNG movies are infinitely more watchable than this purely on the fact that none of them are 10 hours long.

Strangely that's exactly what I've done in this thread, in real time, for months. You don't even know there's been "character assassination" because you haven't even seen it. Yeah it's dumb but I don't watch a lot of TV shows so I WILL waste my time and consider it a guilty pleasure: something that's fun to comment on while it's new. How else would jerks like you even know what it's about??

I'll do me. You can fuck off. Come back after you watched the show.

Cuz he's ugly

But let's get back to Star Trek.
Just do the same as shown here.

But yea, back on Star Trek (and speaking of Patrick Stewart) the new Picard is still cringe.

I'm not going to watch the show, you dumb nigger.

But please, consoom more so more of this garbage gets made. Cope more about how this shit is "better than the movies".

Memberberries at any cost.

Most of modern Trek is shitty memberberries cringe

Which one they're all terrible.
Not him, but I don't think all of terrible, but just half. Generations and First Contact are great, but the second half of TNG movies spiraled downward. Insurrection and Nemesis are just bad they're confusing.

Generations and First Contact are great
Generations the one where they killed Picards family, Data acts like a jackass through the movies cause the emotions chip, Picard and Kirk have a fist fight with the Bad guy and Picard is given the choice to go anywhere in time while in Space Heaven and he just goes back in time like 20 mins. Then there's First Contact where Picard isnt trusted to fight the Borg even though he fought them and won a bunch of times, a time travel plot that makes no sense, introduced the Borg Queen the dumbest fucking character ever and just turns into a shitty action movie.
