I wasn't expecting the Borg. I was hoping Jack would go to the benign faction from last season but that didn't happen.
... Hang on, would this hint that the insurgent Changelings are NOT associated with the Changing hive but are tools being used by the Borg? What happened to all of the Changelings on the ships? Did they evacuate, get assimilated, or are cooperating? Is the Borg going to betray them?
The answer to that question is absolutely yes. Its how the borg operate and they have a history of it. Something you'd think they'd be aware of and expect. I suspect the borg are using them because they rightfully noticed they are ignorant fanatics and are using them as useful idiots
That said, i'm starting to think there is some truth to the writers getting ideas from that return novel. The fact the name vox came up strongly implies it given that it was the name of the romulan equivalent of locutus in that novel

So far the story's been C- and drawn out… the idea that some sad Pooner Changeling had an alliance with Borg is completely illogical, especially with the sliced hand thing as a biological link
Not to mention the queen was somehow able to inflict pain during said communication. The hand thing doesn't make sense at all

Given how Kurtzman unofficially blacklisted Shatner, I wouldn't be surprised if Marc Alaimo got the same treatment.
You can add dwight shultz to that list as well, to the point cryptic wouldn't even consider using his character in any capacity in STO
Remember the same people doing this shit will tell you the anti communist blacklisting in hollywood back in the day was totally abusive and wrong
I imagine they'll have jack break control and shut down the network or something,
At this point thats basically the only thing that could happen, otherwise they're pretty much fucked on every level as far as being able to do anything about the situation

Allegedly the D bridge's verisimilitude is due to Doug Drexler having a set of genuine blueprints he lent the production. I wonder where the carpet came from if it hasn't been manufactured in decades.
I'd take that with a grain of salt. cbs got rid of the majority of props, costumes and such a few years after enterprise ended and they decided they weren't going to be producing anything for the foreseeable future, but they absolutely retained the plans and blueprints for sets. I know this because it was cbs that provided the original plans to cryptic at their request to help then design the galaxy and intrepid class bridges and the redesign ds9 to make it 100% show accurate. As for the carpet the probably put the word out and found somebody who had a very old supply in storage somewhere
