You just know they gonna do that some day...
I'm really hoping Kurtzman Trek ends before they move onto raping DS9. Also, I think a HUGE reason they have not tapped DS9 is because revisiting it without Avery Brooks would get them in trouble with the wokesters. Meanwhile, the scuttlebutt is Brooks does not have an industry rep and either cannot get one for some obscure reason* or does not want one. You can't do a goddamn thing in Hollywood without an industry rep, so Brooks being out of commission (so to speak) prevents them from tapping into that.

* Industry reps can fuck you in extremely obscure and petty ways. There's the famous story that Bert Kreischer's attempts to do projects with Bobby Lee were thwarted because Kreischer's rep and Lee's rep both hated each other... because they fought over the thermostat when they worked in an office together.

Absolutely dumb shit like this can make your life in show business difficult and then people assume you're "difficult to work with" because you haven't gotten work in a while.

You know if you need to feel good about trek, the Rikerish channel on youtube is a delight.

I hope Moriarty kills them all.
What's next, a trip to Deep Space Nine?
The only way it would be remotely watchable is if they bring back that LMH version of Bashir and he immediately starts acting like a RuPaul finalist.

"The patient is experiencing acute mediocrity… I'm prescribing a personality." 💅

What part of "prequel" do these writers not understand? What's next, a trip to Deep Space Nine?
The holodeck even looks like the one from TNG. There was a holodeck kind of thing in TAS but it wasn't as advanced as what they showed in this episode. Khan's grand daughter or whatever is going to banging Spock now. At least they're having a White male actor banging decently attractive chicks. The episode was directed by Jonathon Frakes and there is a Riker Maneuver reference in the end credits. Every TNG, DS9, and VOY holodeck episode is better. Even that ENT holodeck episode where Tucker gets pregnant is better. (((Kurtzman))) Trek can not end soon enough.

Yea i laughed when i realized it, I was like OMFG they are doing a SNW version of "Elementary, Dear Data" only with La'An
It was exactly that, right down to the "solve a mystery that would be a challenge even for me!" line.

They really can't do anything original.

It would have been better if holo-Spock tried to kill her and she had to fight him. But no, modern writers can't write anything scary or unnerving. Better yet, make him say slasher movie quotes, but with a Vulcan twist. "Running is illogical, bitch." or "Please stop crying, it is an inefficient use of suffering."

That would be amazing

And I came up with that idea and lines in under a minute. How long do you think it took them to write this abortion of a holodeck episode? Thirty years ago when people said they could write better tv shows/movies you'd think they were pompous assholes. Today, they're probably right. The top ten most prolific posters in this thread could write a better Star Trek series that people would actually watch and we wouldn't have to rely on expensive shitty looking CGI. Pay me $5000 an episode and I'd be good.
