Wesley feels like a fucking Red Squad member in season 1, absolutely hated his ass.
For many years, the failure of the Wesley character was blamed on Roddenberry and the writers and Wheaton was absolved. Maybe there was shit writing, but I think it Wil's innate shittiness that seeped through that annoyed everyone. He's a very bad actor, too.
It kind of was Eugene WESLEY Roddenberry's fault. And subsequent to TNG, it seemed like Wil had chilled out and was in on the joke. He actually SEEMED for a while like he was actually an okay dude personally. It wasn't until he totally woked out that he started seeming like an absolute piece of shit.

So that means there's a (100% never gonna happen) way to wipe both shows retarded current day continuity out of canon. The doctor *did* actually meet with Starfleet... In somethng more canon than current day trek or who... so we didn't even need this shit... A clever writer could have also used this to fix both continuities at once.

One of the least believable things on TNG was Barclay’s Protomorphosis Syndrome. Statistically we all know it would be named Riker’s Protomorphosis Syndrome after Dr. Crusher creates synthetic T-cells every few weeks to address the novel STDs Riker keeps catching.
I always forget that Barclay was there in First Contact and got to shake Cochrane's hand.
At least he was dating and getting in on with other chicks rather than pathetically pining after a love that was not destined to be. If your going to get friendzoned, that is really the only respectable way to do it.
I'm forced to agree. After all it wasn't a situation similar to, say, what the bajorans went through with the cardassians. The bajorans fought because they had been invaded and enslaved and didn't really have any choice, but even then they stopped the fighting when they had the opportunity to and didn't go around trying to attack cardassians after the occupation for what they did. At least you could understand why the bajorans might have ended up doing what the maquis did, but those people did have a choice. The cardassians had nothing against them and weren't trying to fuck with them or deny them the right to leave and settle somewhere else and they could have easily done so with the full support of the federation. In the end they chose to stay and accept a situation under cardassian rule. That is on them. They could have left at any time but instead went full on terrorist. Something that was never going to end well for them no matter what they did. They were always going to get massacred after they crossed that line it was just a question of when and by who. Sure they got their homes sold out from under them but they had other options. If your landlord sells your apartment building and the new owner does something else with it and kick you out, you don't pick up a gun and start trying to kill the new owner, you get a new apartment and if you go that route you don't expect things to end well for you

I was recently wondering if Protomorphosis Syndrome worked like the mutagen in TMNT, in that the person mutates into the lifeform that was most recently in contact with them. Barclay was taking care of O'Brien's pet tarantula and may have kept him after O'Brien was reassigned to DS9, Troi was probably feeding Picard's fish, Riker was doing Riker things with the latest batch of sexy young recruits, etc. It does make it difficult to explain Worf, but that's the nature of Season 7.
Yeah, RTD is a huge STD fan (of course) and both RTD and Kurtzman wanted to do a crossover episode. I think Dave Cullen talked about it. The Tardis appeared as an easter egg in an episode of Strange New Worlds.

He said he was planning on resigning before joining DS9's crew, but as Chief of Security on the flagship, would an officer with a resume like his be in high demand, Dominion War or not?
