Finally made it past season 1 and 2 of ENT. Such a fucking PAIN Everytime I want to watch ENT again.

I always like how unkempt Archer becomes in this season and how he gets a bit dark. Like when he puts the orassian in the airlock.

I find Wesley, the character overhated because later seasons nerf his OP intelligence. Most of the complaints about him mostly apply to the first season. He definitely does not act that way by season 3.
Wesley feels like a fucking Red Squad member in season 1, absolutely hated his ass.

It's actually almost an achievement for Wil Wheaton irl to be way more annoying than the most annoying character on TNG that he played.
For many years, the failure of the Wesley character was blamed on Roddenberry and the writers and Wheaton was absolved. Maybe there was shit writing, but I think it Wil's innate shittiness that seeped through that annoyed everyone. He's a very bad actor, too.

It kind of was Eugene WESLEY Roddenberry's fault. And subsequent to TNG, it seemed like Wil had chilled out and was in on the joke. He actually SEEMED for a while like he was actually an okay dude personally. It wasn't until he totally woked out that he started seeming like an absolute piece of shit.

I always found the character annoying even after they slightly de-Mary Sued him in later seasons.

Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges' ending argument between Ross and Bashir just beautifully sums up how naive The Federation is. Truth is, no large confederation is going to be able to hold on to those principles without being utterly smashed by groups like the Romulans who have no ethical qualms with running intelligence ops. A Section 31 would be vital to survival and the pontificating Bashir does in simping for a group who has been constantly assassinating Federatjon targets always really bugs me.

Plus you can play a drinking game of all the Trek actors that show up. (I think the only show that had more was Gargoyles.)
https://youtube.com/watch?v=LyCc1IwB47c
The Orville has a bunch too. (Though admittedly, not as many as gargoyles)
The chief engineer on Strange New Worlds mentioned in an episode that she spent time with a "doctor" and the Space Babies episode of Doctor Who has the Doctor mention he spent time with Starfleet. If Doctor Who and Kurtzman Trek continued there would have been a crossover episode.
So that means there's a (100% never gonna happen) way to wipe both shows retarded current day continuity out of canon. The doctor *did* actually meet with Starfleet... In somethng more canon than current day trek or who... so we didn't even need this shit... A clever writer could have also used this to fix both continuities at once.

Bashir spent 6 seasons chasing after Jadzia and had to wait until she fucking died before she gave him a chance.

Safe to say he doesn't have the best judgement.

>swings entire leg back over chair to go slam his 900th alien clam that week
One of the least believable things on TNG was Barclay’s Protomorphosis Syndrome. Statistically we all know it would be named Riker’s Protomorphosis Syndrome after Dr. Crusher creates synthetic T-cells every few weeks to address the novel STDs Riker keeps catching.

I always forget that Barclay was there in First Contact and got to shake Cochrane's hand.

At least he was dating and getting in on with other chicks rather than pathetically pining after a love that was not destined to be. If your going to get friendzoned, that is really the only respectable way to do it.

That's one thing that just never really gelled with me: The whole Maquis deal. I was totally with Sisko on this one. These people could just have relocated. It's not like there was a shortage of Federation planets to settle. It's not like they were going to get evicted without any help. The Federation was more than happy to assist all those people resettle, they did afteral, sign their homes away and were going to take responsibility.

No instead they decide to stay with a race that's well known to be absolute fuckers and xenophobic assholes. Of course this leads to hostility and then they just decide to go on a crusade that led them all to be eradicated. Well done. You couldn't just have moved? Fuck if you didn't want to do it again you were literally allowed back on Earth and just enjoyed future social welfare.

But nooooo, you had to be difficult. Zero understanding too, the deal allowed the Federation to make peace with the Cardassian; an empire they were at war with for 20+ years. How many fucking people died in the Cardassian war? You can't fucking move? Federation officer DIED for this peace and you can't fucking move?

Seriously, fuck the Maquis.
I'm forced to agree. After all it wasn't a situation similar to, say, what the bajorans went through with the cardassians. The bajorans fought because they had been invaded and enslaved and didn't really have any choice, but even then they stopped the fighting when they had the opportunity to and didn't go around trying to attack cardassians after the occupation for what they did. At least you could understand why the bajorans might have ended up doing what the maquis did, but those people did have a choice. The cardassians had nothing against them and weren't trying to fuck with them or deny them the right to leave and settle somewhere else and they could have easily done so with the full support of the federation. In the end they chose to stay and accept a situation under cardassian rule. That is on them. They could have left at any time but instead went full on terrorist. Something that was never going to end well for them no matter what they did. They were always going to get massacred after they crossed that line it was just a question of when and by who. Sure they got their homes sold out from under them but they had other options. If your landlord sells your apartment building and the new owner does something else with it and kick you out, you don't pick up a gun and start trying to kill the new owner, you get a new apartment and if you go that route you don't expect things to end well for you

I mean really, what exactly did they think was going to happen?

Fuck. Yeah.
Got this baby off the exchange for like 30 million less than every other listing, guess someone just wanted to get rid of it
Is that new? Some kind of temporal ship? I don't recognize it. tbh i've got 2 premium packs from the last two years year long events, a few free T6 coupons and 2500 lobi I still haven't touched cause I can't find any ships I actually want yet but that one looks like it might be interesting

T6 NX Escort Refit, and it is indeed a Lobi store exclusive (besides the exchange, obvs) though I think it also can be chosen in some Mudd offer or another iirc? It's been around since 2017, so not new.

5 tac, 4 eng, and 2 sci with an experimental weapon slot. Turn rate of 16 so it's pretty good to handle, and has 5 fore weapons + 2 aft.

It's nothing amazing but I think it's pretty solid, besides I love Enterprise so I can't help myself.

Comes with two skins by default, the NX refit with the secondary hull and Cage-style nacelles + the og NX from the show.

Right now the only ships I really want are the ones locked away in the 10th anniversary pack that this game has been keeping from me with it's stupid fucking random McRib release schedule.

I want to make my Shangri-La look like the TOS connie. It's all I need.

I was recently wondering if Protomorphosis Syndrome worked like the mutagen in TMNT, in that the person mutates into the lifeform that was most recently in contact with them. Barclay was taking care of O'Brien's pet tarantula and may have kept him after O'Brien was reassigned to DS9, Troi was probably feeding Picard's fish, Riker was doing Riker things with the latest batch of sexy young recruits, etc. It does make it difficult to explain Worf, but that's the nature of Season 7.

This should be timestamped because I just learned from Disparu here that Dr Who and Kurtzman Trek had a lot of cross-infection.

It just... it explains so much. I'm going to go hit the suicide booth now. Anyone want to join for the twofer?
Yeah, RTD is a huge STD fan (of course) and both RTD and Kurtzman wanted to do a crossover episode. I think Dave Cullen talked about it. The Tardis appeared as an easter egg in an episode of Strange New Worlds.

I wish Duras had been a regular antagonist.

3 is a great movie and also serves as the beginning point of the best Star Trek overarching storyline; Kirk's racism arc.

-It's too long
-Nothing happens
-The visual design of everything that isn't a starship looks like beige bootycheeks

Just watch The Changeling and Saturday Night Fever back to back, then take a really long nap. It's the same experience.
The Director's Cut of TMP really fixes the pacing issues. One of the rare cases where removing minutes of footage made a movie feel longer and slower.

He was fine for the brief period between mid 2000s and early 2010s when he was doing tabletop games content and writing books. It was like he found a niche among nerds who previously hated him and now somehow enjoyed that he knew this and was in peace with it.

Then woke happened and he fucked up.

One of my favorite moments. They should have included more previous characters, tbh.

But seriously, after Enterprise-D was destroyed, I'm sure most officers were called back to their previous job and someone made sure Barclay was among those returning.

Worf could have been in contact with Alexander.

They really needed to go with another color code for the Spore Drive. It was even worse when earlier episodes had the ship scream "BLACK ALERT!" several times before jumping.

This was a little shower thought I had recently: Did Worf get a lot of offers from different starships after the Enterprise-D was destroyed? He said he was planning on resigning before joining DS9's crew, but as Chief of Security on the flagship, would an officer with a resume like his be in high demand, Dominion War or not?
