True, but it doesn't help that Steward is ancient, tired, and given Kurtzman's shit to work with.De Lancie is more charismatic than Stewart, imo. Stewart's whole career has been typecast as bald, stern task master.

Fletcher was doomed to be typecast as the passive-agresive bitch the moment she did Ratched so I think by the time DS9 came around, she was whatever about it. Judging from quotes on Memory Alpha where she said she had fun with the character and remembering an interview where she said Trekkies are the ones still writing her fanletters most often, she doesn't seem too bothered by having a role in this sci-fi series. She however is one of the oldest from the bunch (well over 80) so possibly her health just wasn't up for it. I listened to a radio or podcast clip that briefly interviewed her maybe a couple of years or so ago and she was sounding rough. With Avery tho, it's been said he just always saw it as another role and didn't really give a shit about interacting with a fandom. So he definitely was knowingly staying away from the dreaded typecasting headache. Dude just didn't have anything more to say and didn't want to sit down again for another interview and talk about why Sisko was a good father and leader during wartimes and also black.I don't blame Avery and Louise for not wanting to join in on this shitshow. I've seen another actress from a completely different show do that, because she felt she was being typecast.
That is what is called a brainstorming session.
They're storyboards. They're not meant to be sold product, just very rough sketches to get things in order. You don't sistine chapel the things up because they're disposable.
Damn. She grew into a redhead goth chick?

Well I guess it's not too surprising being born on Voyager and all.
Based Red-head?She's based and red-pilled too. She used to have a blog shit talking Obama back in the day.
Imagine the collective response to such a series suddenly revealing that Discovery and Picard were actually Barclay's teenage fanfiction in holonovel form. And people tell him he was a terrible writer.
I know he wants to be a serious commentator now, but I will always remember him for his TNG recuts. He also did a very good Star Trek 2009 trailer reaction video, perfectly capturing my feelings.Has anyone seen the Major Grin YouTube channel? It keeps getting recommended to me, so I checked it out. Some videos are pretty damning. They compare NuTrek with real Trek using interviews and clips. Here's one video:

Stewart would have no acting career if it wasn't for his magnificient voice.De Lancie is more charismatic than Stewart, imo. Stewart's whole career has been typecast as bald, stern task master.
And here I thought the perfect woman didn't exist. She's based and red-pilled too. She used to have a blog shit talking Obama back in the day.
I already had to tell your brother off for being a Deviant, don't make me do it to you too.And here I thought the perfect woman didn't exist.
Hey I'm not some kind of robosexuals.I already had to tell your brother off for being a Deviant, don't make me do it to you too.
The reason shit like Star Wars or Star Trek sucks now is because modern film/tv writers literally cannot write a script that isn't just coated in irony, snarkiness, or cynicism. Nothing can just be fun or genuine anymore, it has to "smart" and self aware.
Hollywood writers just writing what they know.ST setting full of cynical quipping scumbags who behave like the most obnoxious people of our time.
Sorry, I call no way.

Most storyboards are done in B/W as a time-saver. Sometimes, they'll apply 3 values (black, white, middle gray) to help establish a scene or apply importance to the characters. However, if you've got time to go back in apply Dodge and Multiply to everything, and yet your basic drawings look like that, you're a crappy artist. And look at the background, for fuck's sake! You can tell they just traced from a screenshot!

Look at that. Look at obviously, jarringly bad the background characters are. They had time to add in little shiny jewels to the books, throw in the damn wormhole (which I think was animated in this shot), even add highlights to peoples' hair, but then, "Oh no, shit, ran outta time, can only draw gray blob people for the rest of the scene." Give me a break.
I've had to do storyboard sequences (action ones, too) myself, so I know what a pain in the ass it can be. But this person should never have gotten this job in the first place. They should've gotten an actual storyboard artist to do the gig.
AS the internet says: pics or GTFO. Post your work to prove how it's done.
Sure. Or be like a bending unit and go steal some from a friendMind if I whisper 'em since my storyboard has nothing to do with Star Trek?
To quote something I saw a person somewhere else post:
This is too true, it's just amazing how you look at old Trek and see casts of characters with high ideals who speak sincerely and directly. New, improved modern television writers think it's cool and intelligent to pack their shows in the ST setting full of cynical quipping scumbags who behave like the most obnoxious people of our time.
