Any good books on making-of for any of the series or movies? I was thinking of picking up an art book or something.

Regarding physical literature the list really just never ends, but I can reccomend two websites to you.

https://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/ Probably the most nerdy site on the internet. Its not a wiki, its more like the opinion site of one really obssessed Trek fan. I still enjoy reading his takes on the franchise though. Plus the site has exstensive photo galleries and even long articles comparing the visual differences in stuff like the remasters compared to the original.

https://forgottentrek.com/ This was brought up earlier in the thread but if you want to read about production info this is probably the absolute best place to go. My favorites are the stories behind designing the Enterprise and the Orion chick. The concept art on everything is stunning.

How good or bad is that?
The only thing I read up on her is that she stayed at 20th Century when Disney bought it out but left in January after Bob Iger not wanting her to make non-franchise films.

She’s apparently a Shari Redstone hire so I’m guessing Kurtzman is about to leave.

Just started season 4 of DS9. The look on Sisko and Kira's faces when that Klingon fleet decloaks is priceless. You know filming that they had to be staring at a blank wall so major props for being able to pull that look off.

We have to be careful, if the ratings are good for the first couple of episodes, Kurtzman and his Shit Trek might be here to stay.

They're trying to get new naive blood. Because everyone outside of that group already knows STD is trash, even the first season, which is arguably the 'best' part.

Im pretty sure thats not enough, they lost all international partners and have no money lined up for another season of project.

Pretty sure Riker once fucked a genderless alien, but go ahead Kurtz, tell that lie.

That was a weird episode (maybe not as weird as that Scottish planet where Beverly fucked a ghost, but still)

I think it was meant to be a heavy handed social commentary about the gays or whatever, but I think the real lesson is that Riker could've cured that planet of genderspecials with his meat phaser.

I'm trying to hunt down a 2016 version of the Star Trek Encyclopedia, anyone own a copy? It seems like its really good.

I..... might. Remind me to double check my classic disc storage this weekend. (also had a trek fan move recently and left me with a LOT of their stuff they couldn't take - it might be in there)
