Most of thpse alleged "problems" were very contextual situations that had a reason to be, even if we don't like it now. Back in the 60s, being a secretary or having an office job was the only thing many women were able to get if they wanted a job. I've seen many women complain that Uhura was "just" a secretary, but I'm sure many women feel represented by her because they saw themselves in that character, black or not.

Being woke is not the same as supporting just causes for equality. The best messages are always subtle. Remember Measure of a Man: Guinan talks about how there is a danger with dehumanization because that's the first step to treat people like subhumans, which leads to slavery. She doesn't start lecturing Picard about how WHITEY slaved blacks. She could have meant blacks or jews or women or indigenous or other species in other universes. Wokeness doesn't do that, they have specific agendas to push.
