Star Wars Expanded Universe Fans/Cultists - I HOPE YOU LIKE STAR WARS AUTISM

So reactions from those who have seen the film seem to be quite positive. Any news from the spergfront on this?

Actually, there has been a hysterical development.

At this point, the EU Movement seems desperate to stay relevant upon the film's release. The billboard project doesn't look like it's going to be funded by the end of December (there is talk they are going to be extending the funding period to the end of January though).

This plan seems hopelessly self-defeating. I thought they judged anyone who saw the film on opening night a traitor. But in order to spoil the film, they're going to have to go and watch it on opening night and by their own definition be traitors to their cause. They'll be putting money in greedy old Disney's pocket after all. Unless they repost spoilers from someone who's already seen the film which are on the internet anyway and then...

Ah fuck it, I've already given this more thought than they did.

Oh no they spoiled the movie for me i guess ill just rip my tickets and go home then

Why would spoiling the movie do anything? Are they trying to ruin others' enjoyment or something? I doubt that will stop people from watching, unless you have high grade autism.

Holy Shit. This is amazing. I liked a lot of the EU, but Disney taking it away doesn't make me mad or anything. It's not like all the material is going to magically disappear or anything.

They probably figure that everyone else is at the same powerlevel as they are.

A massive total of 3694 members of the Order of The Canted Austists. Worldwide.

Disney sure is gonna regret losing all that money! Phoweey!

This is only going to get even funnier as their already tiny voice gets completely obliterated in a tidal wave of love for this movie.

Expect them to have a few more hilarious, cringe inducing sputters of toxic outrage!

I've going to our local premiere in 5 1/2 hours. Can't wait!

Eh, it's not like I'll spoil myself anyways, so I'll watch what sounds to be a very Star Wars-y film come the weekend or something. I love the shrieks of fear and autistic plan of giving their great satan money though. That's classic Barneyfag right there.

97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Oh MAN I can't wait to see the fireworks!

And, y'know, excited for the movie too.

Those aren't real reviews, they were totally paid money by Disney to say positive things. The real fans think it's terrible, worse than Phantom Menace.

Its not possible for the movie to be worse than that. I remember all those years ago when the autists were screaming about the prequels. It reminds me of when people complain that a lolcow ruined a series for them, because you can't enjoy it anymore if someone you don't like does.

Well, they actually did suck.

This is shaping up to be reasonably good, like the Star Trek reboot. Nothing phenomenal or earth-shattering, but well worth the ticket.

The point being that they are now screaming about how this is killing star wars, when they were screaming the same thing 10 years ago.

So, an alright, but obviously flawed and flashy as all get out movie to pass the time with if you have nothing better to do, just like everything else out there. Got it. I still might watch it, regardless, just because...

The prequels didn't bother me that much -- TPM sucked, but the other two were okay. Ewan McGregor did a really good job, and you have to admit, John Williams's score kicked ass? (Plus the costumes -- I LOVED the costumes. But then I'm a fashion whore)

The autism is strong with these ones.

Frankly, I think the original Star Wars was pretty much a movie like this that got massively overrated and developed a cult. But maybe that's an "unpopular opinion" thread opinion.
