Star Wars Expanded Universe Fans/Cultists - I HOPE YOU LIKE STAR WARS AUTISM

There was a time when the original Star Wars movie was the only one. I wonder what would happen if they decided that only that one would be SW canon, and removed the "Episode IV" and "A New Hope" from the title?

Small parts of the world would probably blow up from all the sperging, whining, and ranting... Just an estimated guess.

If I owned Star Wars, only this would be canon (even if only to shut these fantards right the fuck up, already!):

*LAUGHS EVILY FOR A FEW MINUTES*

On one hand, the new movie isn't very good. I wouldn't say it's awful but one of those films where the longer youve left the theater, the more you realized it sucked?

On the other hand, spergs screaming about wanting the EU back (which also wasn't very good) like colicy children with diaper rash is all sorts of uuuugh.

I'm having a hard time deciding which one is worse.

The retards screaming about their shitty elevated fanfictions that can still be bought in stores. This will typically be the correct answer.

What's funny is that they're equally tepid and yet both officially sanctioned works.

Not to again get sucked into an offtopic argument, but I can't say that after the Fandalorian disaster or the book where Luke fucks a holographic dead woman. Especially since George had such low standards for his works that he okayed pretty much everything.

It's that ultimate devotion to what is essentially a mount of shit pretending to be gold that amuses me about the EU spazzes. The ones that got pissed they can't bust out their book BS to look smarter than they really are by quoting geeky shit and using it like a status symbol.

I agree with all of this. (And never heard about that Luke story holy shit). It would be easier for me to say the few things from EU I enjoyed (Dark Forces and, uh, the N64 game?) because the rest was a hilarious mess of awful pandering.

"Don't call anyone!" *maces theater employee*

You know, I'd almost be happy to see someone brave enough to have that kind of negative opinion on this kind of crap in real life.

To think a bit harder about this - I say that, even if that requires a massive sacrifice of common sense - not like these fuckers have it in the first place, knowing they're whining over something so trivial like Star Wars (instead of something that matters.).

It doesn't help that most of the material from the EU sucks or is mediocre, as in not welcoming to those who would like to truly know more about Star Wars beyond the movies. "This is yet another example of toxic fanbase ruins everything much worse than that fucking local man".

I get the impression that these fans aren't so much upset that Lucas handed the franchise over to Disney so much that he didn't hand it over to them. It's a belief I've seen in multiple to fandoms that the franchise "really" belongs to the fans. Because giving the fans absolute control is such a good idea, right? *sidelong glance at the Fanfiction Horrors thread*

By the way I liked the movie.

I'm already seeing rants on the damn thing, sadly - these people only have themselves to blame for wasting their money, in the end...
