There was a time when the original Star Wars movie was the only one. I wonder what would happen if they decided that only that one would be SW canon, and removed the "Episode IV" and "A New Hope" from the title?
I actually encountered someone like that six or seven years ago, except it was the Clone Wars TV series and how kids only know the show and not the movies.
