Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

I'll say writing wise, Andromeda was the closet we've gotten to a decent modern day Stargate game. Actually just thinking about it, I really feel bad for the Stargate series these days. (:_(
The exploration in it was kino. That kind of made up for a bland main story and bland villain.

Will Todd Howard's cunning, risk-free plan just work? Find out soon!

Remember how the troons and their allies were so successful in banning and boycotting Hogwarts Legacy? And how there was a troon actor in the English version? And no one really gave a shit, and it sold like 5 million copies?

Maybe that's more the route to go if you really want to make some sales, Todd.

if for some reason reading this thread makes you want to play the outer worlds dont. that game is legit a piece of shiit
Outer worlds world was such shit that its one of the few games I just uninstalled midway through. Other than just being lackluster as fucking hell in the gameplay department, and it's shallow as fuck story, it was the fucking pallet swaps that pushed me over the edge.

Fucking everything in that game was just a pallet swap, even the enemies, and they used their shitty capitalism/corporate control narrative to justify being lazy, uncreative fuckheads.

I don't get why people are so negative about Starfield. It'll be fine.

No it won't be SIXTEEN TIMES THE DETAIL or whatever Toddism he's said this time but it'll be a large open-world game that's got lots of shit to do in.
People are negative because it's a bethesda game that isn't morrowind. But make no mistake, just like these types do with fallout and Elderscrolls, they'll get it eventually and then pump thousands of hours into the game itself and thousands more modding it.

Then they'll go online and say how shit the game is after 10k hours and even their 1500 mod list doesn't make it good. All while pretending that the mods they use or make are somehow better than the game itself.

And this will go on for as long as bethesda is making games that aren't morrowind.

This has to be the best summary of the Bethesda fanbase I've ever seen. Good work.

I remember getting confused when I got to the space station after the first world because I kept trying to recruit a doctor after finishing her quest because I saw her as a companion in the trailer, only to find out that 75% of the women all look the same.

Funny enough, I don't even remember how you recruit the *actual* companion. I just remember thinking that completely different person was her.

Edit: I'm already seeing people taking "sides" when it comes to United Colonies vs Freestar Collective. Pretty cute to see Imperial faggots suddenly deciding that Freestar are the clear good guys before the game even comes out.

At least I'm not that much of a tard. Emil only likes to write about how ashamed he is to be Catholic, everything else he does is just incidental to get to that point.

i be shocked if the game even starts up on release date.

This is pretty much what I was talking about: even Fallout 76, which was made by their B-team in Austin and rushed out, released playable if buggy and a bit crap. And the major issues with 76 came from it being an online game.

Starfield will be fine.

Wanna take bets for a day 1 patch?
I bet you 20 kiwibucks there'll be a day one patch, because every game has one now

I'm pretty confident it'll be fun but flawed 7/10 or so, if it's crap I'll come back to the thread in September to get dabbed on as deserved

Wait a minute. You said it'd be fine and now your taking my side of the bet? Todd Howard would cry if he could read this

Same. Personally I'm gonna wait and start the backlog... Just after a couple more hours of Satisfactory. By then the expanded edition with all the DLCs should be out by then.

Pretty sure the B team thing is a myth in part. The Maryland studio has their names all over the credits. The B team worked on it too but Todd's A team had two in the stink. The B team took over once work on Starfield went into full swing and for a while now whatever minor maintenance the game is afforded has been dumped on some outsourced C team because I guess Starfield needed everyone on deck.
